Can anyone recommend books which help people to overcome shyness/social anxiety. If I can't do it by myself with a book I am going to have to get professional help as things are getting bad.
Thanks guys.

Thanks for these links Ghost.
The Francine Rodabaugh course for $19 looks interesting but what alarms me is that she has just ONE success story about someone she has worked with (she is a therapist.) Surely if you had a successful method to help people overcome social anxiety/phobia you would have many examples, not just the one. I suspect she just thinks she can make a quick buck out of people like us. (Although I may be wrong.)
Has anyone out there taken her course?

Those are some good links.. I agree about the woman with the $19 course. Only one success story, Yeah, that makes me a little skeptical.. Maybe she's just starting out though.

This book helped me quite a bit: "Shyness: A Bold New Approach," by Bernardo Carducci. He discusses shyness/SA in depth, and you rapidly realise: you're not alone, you can learn to be "successfully shy," and that small steps will get you there. He also has books on how to make small talk which I have not read but clearly fill a void for shy people.
