have you ever had a misunderstanding interfere in a relationship that was important to you in a major way? i mean like someone gets paranoid and thinks you've disrespected them in some way or done something mean behind their back...when you didn't at all? or like somebody tells them something to make them suspicious of your motives? i find this sort of thing so discouraging. it reminds me how disappointing people can be.

I'm not sure if I've had that happen to me, but whatever happened, I'm sorry for it. If someone told them something bad about you, well, that just sucks. This person will have to find out on his/her own that you aren't what they're thinking. I'm sure throughout your relationship they'll learn they can trust you, and that what other people say isn't always right. If this is the case in your situation. Anyway, I hope everything works out for you.

I've never been in a relationship. However I do experiences this with friendships a lot and it's really frustrating. Teenage girls are bitchy and it's difficult for someone to believe that you're genuine.

i'm sure you all have relationships with somebody...family, friends, co-workers. i didn't just mean romantic-type relationships.

Have you questioned their motives?
I cannot recall a specific encounter at the moment, if I do I'll come back and post it. Also, I wouldn't take your situation and extrapolate it to 'people.'

a good friend is someone you open almost all of yourself to. Open the communication lines, and sweep anything under the rug, deal with it now and have a hand how it festers instead of letting it be molded by forces that are out of your control... naw whaddamean?
