Yeah i totally agree with you. I don't have a problem with meeting someone from online at all but i tend to be very paranoid. I think i'd have to talk to someone for a fairly long time and feel like i really know them before i'd consider meeting up with them. This is something to keep in mind if the girl is hesitant to meet up at first. It's probably not you but just the fact that she feels the need to be cautious, what with all the crazy people on the internet these days lol.

It's great that you're not letting this get to you Bodhi, because it shouldn't. It sounds like you did nothing wrong. Online dating is hard. I think you have to be super lucky to be able to obtain a relationship from it but you shouldn't let this experience deter you from trying again.

I think online dating, overall, is great because it makes it so much easier for shy or introverted people to reach out to other people. Think about how much harder it must've been before the internet.
