Hi everybody. Didn't know there was forums and stuff for shy people, kinda cool. I'm a 42/m transplanted from the country to the city. It sucks but I deal with it. I founded and run a paranormal investigation team with 4 or 5 friends that I've met here. We also do a haunted house each year. We're working with God's Pantry this year to help raise food and help others. Expecting a big year this year. I'm also a storm spotter, but don't do it as much as I used to since moving away from home. I like photographing lightning. I also like cats, wild birds, astronomy, camping, fishing, other outdoor stuff. I have a cat named Frank who is like my son. I found him about a year ago abandoned in a dumpster. He was about 2 weeks old and screamin his head off. I stuck him in my shirt pocket and took him home and we've been together ever since. Got kicked out of the place I used to live in for having Frank, but I couldn't just leave him there to die. He's been a good friend. Live in some friends of mine basement now. It sucks, but I deal with it. Have a small one room cabin back at the farm. I get to get away every now and then and go there. It sits back in the field away from everything and everybody. No electric, no phones, I love it! And, Frank loves being able to get outside and run around chasing the bugs and eating the grass. What few friends I have are all married. Really tough being away from home and lonely to. Would love to have someone, but I'm not good at talking to women. I guess I've pretty much accepted that I'll be alone the rest of my life. It sucks, but like everything else, I deal with it the best I can. Well, that's my boring life, didn't mean to write a book. Just wanted to introduce myself and say hey.

Hello and welcome to SU. I checked out your website...seems pretty cool. I've sometimes wondered whether i would enjoy ghost hunting. I'm undecided on the whole paranormal thing, and you can't always trust the evidence shown on tv or the internet. But walking around in the dark with a camera sounds fun. Anyway, i hope you find what you are looking for at SU.

Hi! Lexington is a lovely city. The horse park and all. Also pretty cool about the ghost hunting since the Midwest seems to be a mecca for it.

Yeah, all those ghost hunting shows on TV just pee me off. They're more about ratings then truth. Like watching a bunch of reality/soap operas about ghost hunting. We're serious about it, both collecting evidence and in helping others. I've had a lot of weird stuff happen to me over the years that got me into it. But, even though I believe, I'm still skeptical. I check every possible explanation first.

I'm from Texas, and yeah, i'm sort of a cross between rural oriented and urban oriented myself. I like the country much better than the city, but most of the good jobs seem to be in the city, so needless to say i've become more city oriented in the past few years.

Hey that's so cool! I've wanted to be a parapsychologist for as long as I can remember, but I failed science... big time. I love animals too, although I must admit I prefer dogs to cats. Not too sure about the storm spotting though; isn't it frightening?

That sounds like fun paranormal investigating. I've never witnessed anything paranormal. I am skeptical but I do believe there are some things that can't be explained. The storm spotting sounds interesting. Have you ever seen a tornado? My family thinks I'm crazy but I think it would be cool to see one. Growing up, I lived in the country but I always visited relatives that lived in the city so I got the "best of both worlds." I can easily drive in heavy traffic at high speeds as well as drive on a muddy country road.
