Help
Tomorrow I have an interview and unfortunately I have never done good on an interview so will someone please pray for me. I'm thinking about telling the manager that I never do well on interviews but overall I'm a hard worker with a positive work attitude.

Someone once said to me just be honest and try youre best. That doesnt help if you really want something and dont get it. But i think its better to try and fail than not to try and feel you failed yourself. I mean for anyone to get an interview for something (waitress job, car valet, shop manager or ceo) people must think you have some good skills for the job. Practice and consistency help i think. The more you do the better you get and sometimes the more you know what you can do the better you can do it (if that makes any sense?) Dont turn into a party animal if you get the dream job, if you dont keep trying (learn from the experience after all life is about learning until we die -whether that be tommorrow or 80 years from now).

I hate interviews. I've had three successful ones, but countless nightmare ones. Truth be told the ones that accepted me were desperate to sign someone. My sister has fewer qualifications than me, but she has a better job just because she is more confident in giving interviews.
I've tried practising interviews and reading ideal answers for common questions, but for me it doesn't help. I don't do to bad if I am interviewed by one person, but if its a group of people I tend to freeze up and give short answers. I don't consider myself special so I hate talking about myself in interviews, whilst others have no problem waffling on and on.

Same here I think that the only reason why I was hired at the lingerie store is because my manager desperately needed someone and that is why I was hired on the spot. I think she wishes she would've interviewed someone else now because I suck!! And I'm not going to work today because I suck! Dang I gotta pick up my check next week for the two days I did work and it better be there!!!! Because my feet were killing me on those two days I did work. Oh well at least I went so now I know its not for me!!

Are you going to leave that job or stick it out until you find something better?
My first ever job sucked big time, but I stayed with it for three years (which was impressive as my boss was such a dick that most people quit after a few months.) When eventually I had enough I left, but it took me over a year to get something else which sucked. My family were understanding at first, but towards the end they wanted me out of the house even though I was trying hard to find something. I suppose I could have got something quicker had I not been picky, but I didn't want to leave one crap job an replace it with another.
Now I'm happy. Been working for nearly a year and I am moving to a new department. Morale of the story is no matter how bad you are at interviews - you will find something good if you keep on trying. Also like you said, you didn't know if you would like the shop work until you tried it.
