no girls like a short shy blushing asian bloke. Well, if that's true, I guess you have to just give up looking then. Who cares about girls? There are more things to life then chasing bunnies down holes. Wascally wabbits.

i think stuff that ppl see in films and the stereo types gives a really ****ed up view of how ppl are If u talk to her it isn;t gonna be like in one of those american highschool school films were some non-football player or whatever goes and talks to the cheerleader person and just gets scowled at! Almost everyone is nothing like that ...and if u talk to her maybe she won't like you and maybe she will, but i bet shes still gonna be polite and friendly and not embarass u or something. Also the thing about outgoing/hot ...I don't think that matters at all.. It would give you a really good chance to improve and gain confidence...Being shy doesn't mean ure introverted, i really enjoy being around ppl im comfortable with and don't like to be on my own that much... These are just my opinions but yeah ;p.. PS i know it's REALLY hard to actually get the courage up but it isn't anywhere near impossible, and u will feel better once u do something ( i did ;D )

Whoa, slow down! Back up, you lost me here, Max! My mind twisted into knots reading this part. I dated a high school cheerleader when i had just graduated from high school; she became a serious gf for several months. FD100 is correct here man; not all cute cheerleaders want muscle head football players. This girl actually appreciated my shy and weak flaws; she thought they were cute and attractive. So was she actually.

given up hope, i will never stop blushing, so how can i expect to talk to any girls. Try to forget about the blushing a bit... cos the more you think about it... like 'oh no I'm gonna blush' the more likely you are to blush. Having said that tho, some girls find it really cute if a guy blushes... well I know I do.

as far as blushing is concerned or smiling at each other in general i think that its interpeted differently by each individual person. I have a crush on this girl who was in my class last semester before i graduated, we spent alot of time together she would call me to study with her, go get lunch, go to the bar, and told me alot of personal things about her. During class and all the times when she comes into my work and we talk all we do is smile at each other. Well all this time she had a boyfriend well they broke up a couple of months ago and last week she told me she was sort of talking to someone else so i went ahead called her the next day and asked her if she wanted to get together that weekend. She sounded happy and said she was going to invite someothers from class but we didnt end up getting together. So i dont know if smiling is the best indicator or maybe it is just me but i am confused and frustrated as all hell.

I wouldnt read too much into smiling. Mostly it is to be polite. With me around strangers and aquaintances, smiling is a nervous habit.

Here are a few possibilities to bear in mind: 1. Just because you find the girl super hot, doesn't mean that she finds herself to be super hot or that there are guys clammering to be her bf. 2. A person that seems outgoing may actually be very nervous around other people. She might be just as terrified at making stupid comments as anyone else you know. I suggest just talking with her as you would talk with any of your friends. Mention what happened on a popular tv show last night. Ask if she saw it. Or ask if she understood the homework. If she ignores you while you're talking or blows you off then she's not worth considering. If she blushes when you talk with her or only gives one or two word answers she might be shy too. Just an idea....
