Well I graduated in July. A while ago I know.I truly have made my shyness go away. I never knew that I could truly love to work with people. I probably won't make much money at first but I can always get a second job. When I was in school I never wanted to leave. The last day at school the main teacher said I was a popular kid and said everybody like me. A kid that was made fun of as a kid being popular. I just can't picture being popular.I don't know how I was. Maybe you don't have to do anything. I've acted like a ditz and like it

;D Congraduations! (<--great for if they charged you by the letter for the paper sign!)
That's great you've kicked your shyness. Being a hair stylist/make-up artist should give you plenty of opportunity to perfect your conversation skills, or sometimes just your listening skills, for those customers in the habit of just going off on a monologue the whole time, lol.
(on a side note, thinking about this is making me wonder if next time I go for a haircut, what if I pretended I'd just had dental surgery so I didn't feel awkward about the conversation? heh heh, yeah, that could work... not that I would, but I could)
Anyway, good going. And being popular may mean that you can maybe make use of a little networkage? Maybe? Eh eh eh? lol; good luck!

I was really tough to get rid of. At first I was really scared. I'm kinda scared of growing a clientele but maybe it won't be hard. Maybe I'm worrying about nothing. Most of the time I would just talk the client and they would come back even if I thought I did bad. I;m kinda exxcited about working, my school has a pretty good success rate. One nail tech that graduated from there on her 4th year is making $800 a week. I never knew a nail tech made that much.

Congrats on graduating. Working with the public will give you practice on conversation skills. I would love to do make up because I love that stuff and I'm good at it. I found out that I can keep a conversation when I know a lot about a certain topic. Good luck!!!

Yeah it was hard to do. Working with people forces you to it. The main instructor used to be shy and truly my inspiration. A shy person doing facials is easy because your already a quiet person to begin with.lol

Congrats, I am not as shy as I used to be because I realized after my Mum passed away that life is too short. Also I was a part time supervisor before my son was born, I had to deal with people and problems every day which gave me a boost of confidence. Some how putting on a suit made me feel great. After I stepped down because shift work was making my pregnancy difficult, I found myself retreating back into my shell. It will be interesting how I intreact with people when I go back.

Congratulations Ms. Saphron! You can go a long way by being a hairdresser. I know in NYC they are in very high demand. One of my heros: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vidal_SassoonIt doesn't say it in the article but he was a real forerunner in not testing his products on animals and in using recycled materials for packaging. ps. Also I compliment you on your choice of actors gracing your avatar.

She'll probably get somewhere like that later in her career. She's kinda became a role model for me in a sense.
