After Medici's post about music that you are ashamed to like I thought... What movies are you embarassed to say that you like? or own? I would have to say I am embarassed to say that I like and own Legally Blonde. However, it is a good movie, and it is funny as well. ~InfiniteAbyss

Welcome Home, Roxy Carmichael
Young Winona Ryder stars as the strange outcast Dinky. I like this movie though not many people do. Its funny and Dinky is very sympathetic.
Other than that...hmm I own a copy of Gone With the Wind which I don't reveal to many people. When I want to impress people with my powerful heterosexual manliness I keep a copy of terminator 2 on top of the DVD stack.
Oh this one is really embarrasing but I kind of liked the first teenage mutant ninja turtles movie! Say what you will but it was well done. Live action turtles with decent character depth and kung fu action. Subsequent turtles movies were bad as I remember. Has to be the first one only.

I've had the mickey taken out of me for liking Love Actually. Kris Marshall cracks me up in that movie, and Andrew Lincoln is a cool actor (the tv series Teachers is a particular fav). The reason why I like it so much may also have something to do with Keira Knightley and Elisha Cuthbert too ;D I've always loved the Mighty Ducks movies too, which I suppose is embarrassing as it proves I haven't really grown up at all The plucky minnows fight adversity and ridicule and rise to victory in the climactic game, doesn't get any better (or cheesier) than that! And by the way Medici, nothing wrong in liking the Ninja Turtles movie. 'tis indeed a fine film, and another indicator of my immaturity

Saturday Night Fever. Gotta love John Travolta's dance moves in that one! lol I actually used to watch the cut version they'll play on TV, so I was quite shocked to see the uncut version.

I must admitt, I liked Welcome Home Roxy Carmichael. I think Winona Ryder was such an awesome actress. I also like Mermaids, another movie not to many people like. That is hilarious. If I saw some guy's dvd collection and it had Gone With the Wind, I would think "wow, this guy has great taste." I never saw the uncut version. It is that different? I also like Clueless and Moulin Rouge. ~hides under table~ Actually, they are both really good movies, although a lot of people don't like Moulin Rouge. I think it is great. ~infiniteabyss

I must admitt, I liked Welcome Home Roxy Carmichael. I think Winona Ryder was such an awesome actress. I also like Mermaids, another movie not to many people like. Yeah I had a thing for Winona for a long time just because she's so pretty. In fact she must have the best looking pair of eyes in the known universe of creatures with 2 eyes. But she has also done some good work such as in Heathers and Edward Scissorhands. I didn't like some of her more recent movies, but I think she will finally be in some new ones in 2005. In fact that Linklater (sp?) guy is doing an animated movie based on A Scanner Darkly in which she voices one of the characters but the character is also drawn to look like her. However all the movies based on Phillip Dick's books are much worse than the books themselves and usually lose the main ideas so I don't know how good it will be. Still haven't seen Moulin Rouge but I've heard from several people that its good and now I will add you to that list of people

Aww thank you The first 20 minutes is a lot of dancing and the quick Baz Lurhman style, but once you get past that, it is so good. Don't yell at me if you don't like it ~infiniteabyss

I never saw the uncut version. It is that different? Yeah....well, I thought is was anyway. Some nudity and the bad language is thrown in there. It does kind of make it more real, but also more gross.

Don't yell at me if you don't like it That's OK I rent a ton of movies from Netflix so there are plently I end up not liking that much. I've got enough free time to absorb it.
