Anyone seen this film? I watched it again the other day after having not seen it for over a year. Its by the director PT Anderson who is renound for making original, thought provoking, and very interesting pieces of cinema (Magnolia). It stars a very out of character Adam Sandler (doing a "Jim Carey") but don't let that put you off cos you could be forgiven for thinking he is a very good actor after having seen him in this film. Anyway the reaon i'm posting is because i would say Adam's character Barry Eagen is deffinately shy and socally uncomfortable (due to years of abuse from his 7 sisters) but manages through the course of the film to deal with and overcome his problems once he meets the girl of his dreams.

Good movie. Though I think the woman's interest in him is unrealistic.
It also did a nice job of showing repressed anger.

Let's see...
He's timid, desperate, semi-stalkerish, and has problems with repressed anger.
Most women don't find those qualities attractive.

Still, gives a guy like me a little bit of hope. For some reason i became socially inept about 6/7 years ago and can't seem to pinpoint why? I'm trying to resolve my issues. You know what they say,a man without hope is the poorest man alive.
Great Film £7.99 on play.com
