Just wondering if anyone was planning to go to any festivals over the summer? I'm in the UK, and a few friends and I are considering going to the V festival. Just a shame it's a bit too far to get to T in the Park in Scotland (Green Day and Foo Fighters, damn it!).
Anyway, going to these sorts of things, and gigs in general, is such a release for me. Somewhere you can just completely let go of insecurities and worrying about what other people think of you. Just jump around like a lunatic and sing/screech/scream to your hearts content. I guess it's kind of a primal feeling, somewhere you can vent whilst having a great time!
There can also be an incredible sense of togetherness with certain songs/bands. Thousands of people singing the same thing kind of blows me away when I think about it.
Anyone else agree? Or am I slowly going out of my mind?

I went to a big music festival in Toronto a couple of summers ago. I liked it. Large crowds I can handle, small crowds I can't.

I've been to Ozzfest, Woodstock '99 and Lollapalooza--all great but Woodstock was definitely the best. I don't think I'm going to any music festivals this year, but I definitely want to go to some concets.

Just found out that the Pixies and the Foo Fighters are headlining the Leeds festival, so I'm gonna try to get some tix for that too. And The Killers are playing there as well. Should be great! I think Iron Maiden are headlining also. Not the biggest fan, but should be an experience! I just hope all these plans don't fall through and I end up stuck at home listening to these gigs on the radio, which is what usually happens
