Speaking of Hitchcock, I just watched a recent Woody Allen flick, Match Point, which was supposed to be a Hitchcock-esque thriller. It got rave reviews, but maybe I've been spoiled by all the Hitchcock classics I've been watching lately because it seemed lame in comparison. Scarlett Johannson was hot, but I had to laugh because old Woody put a scene in there in which she was walking through a downpour in a tight fitting shirt. I guess he doesn't need viagra.

I've recently watched Take the Lead and Superman Returns. They were both good. Take the Lead was one of those feel good dramas/musicals. And it was inspired by a true story so it makes it even cooler.

"Hard Candy" It's sorta a switch-a-roo with predator and prey. Young girl chats with older ("I like little girls!") dude, meet in cafe, go back to his place.....where she makes the next hours of his life hell. Its has one of the most cringe worthy scenes without actually showing anything. *shudders* Poor guy Don't think its out on dvd till September though

The last few movies I've seen:
Signs: Pretty good. Definitely the best M. Night Shamalamadingdong movie I've seen.
Clerks 2: Surprisingly good, especially considering how badly this could have been f'd up. Not as fresh as the original but just as funny.
A Prairie Home Companion: Disappointing....it starts off well but never really gathers steam. The music was good, though, and Woody Harrellson and John C. Reilly were great.
Monster House: Excellent. Very funny and genuinely scary.
The Da Vinci Code: WTF? I've never read the book, and now I'm pretty sure I'm not going to.

I watched Batman Begins It was good, probably the best batman film.
The 25th Hour was pretty good, about a drug dealer who spends his last 24 hours before going to prison, directed by Spike Lee.
I watched the documentary Death In Gaza, that was really good, a great documentary if you want to see what is happening in Palestine. It follows some children in Palestine and shows how they live their life. The director James Miller was murdered by a Israeli tank as he was holding a white flag. R.I.P James

Watched Little Miss Sunshine today, about a family travelling to California in a VW van for a beauty pageant. Great performances from all the family members, particularly Steve Carrell and Alan Arkin. And I'm not afraid to say that the little girl nearly had me blubbing on more than one occasion. The scene where she asked her grandpa if her dad thinks she is a loser And the ending is just fantastic too, I haven't laughed so much in a long time ;D Highly recommended

I watched Bonjour Monsieur Shlomi and man it turned out to be one awesome movie. Wow. I was like cooking my dinner right and I see this movie on TV. I wasn't really interested in it at first but then. I love this movie It kinda reminded me of Leolo about the "suprise factor", not the plot since they don't have much in common. That movie too I saw while switching the channels and then I see it.. and it turns out to be an awesome movie.

Being the typical guy, I like my action movies. I bought an old DVD titled "44 minutes". It was based on the North Hollywood shootout incident. I didnt know much about it before watching.
It was a good story and pretty good action, and good sound. It has a bit of a documentary feel to it, with actors (michael madsen) playing the people who were there, describing their experience of what happened in the past.
Most of the movie is a step by step account of what happened from the point of view of several police officers and the bank robbers.
It's a shame that it is recorded in Dolby Digital 2.0 only and not widescreen, but it is still a very good movie.
Highly recommended for action fans and people who want to know more about the incident. It kinda makes you think about gun control as well.

Brazil.
One of those really surreal, out-there movies that I love.

My hubby and I recently saw Talledega Nights. We both enjoyed it. I enjoyed the ending.
