nothing its just that someone questioned if he exhisted. I thought most people knew he exhisted. Wethere he died on a cross and was reserected is probly more questioned than wether he exhisted at all. Im sure there is historical evidence for the crusifiction and resurection being that the biblically acount of the great comission involved hundreds of witnesses of Christs assent into heaven.
regardless if you believe in christianity the teachings of christ are good moral teachings . Muhatma Ghandi acknowledged christ teachings as good though not being a christian.
so celebrating christ birth is celebrating a moral ideal that was diferent and a man who was willing to go against common belefs and even die for them. That is something for a society to acknowledge even if its not on a religious level.

There is a Roman document, talking about Christians, that was written in the 1st century, saying something like 'It has been 50 years since the leader of that sect, Christ, was executed quite properly ,' it was something like that anyway.

Anything. By the way a star does not explicitly have a christian meaning. In soviet union by the way there was no christmas and people just celebrated new years. The star doesn't have meaning in Christmas? OK, Then what lead the three wise men to Bethlahem a flashlight?

He isn't saying it doesn't have a Christian meaning, he's saying it isn't exclusively a Christian symbol and does not need to be taken in that context.

What three wise men? What is bethlahem? What are you talking about? Some children story?
A star is this thing in the sky that shines in the night if its not cloudy. There is alot of them if you leave the city. That I know for sure, and thats enough to make beautiful decorations and put them on a tree. I don't care for any wise men.

So did mohammed and buddha. What is so different with christ? no reason to chose christianity over any of these other choices.

Christmas- surrley it's kinda in the word! Yes christmas is an adaption of older festivals, but it is still one of the main focal points on the christian calader- so if your adressing a christian you should probably say merry/happy christmas- everybody else is only in it for the commerciality of it all!
Sigh forgive my ignorance but since/how/why didn't I hear about it, has the celebration of christmas been banned in England, or do you just mean that the government is not allowed promote the celebration of christmas?

It's an old law that wasn't removed so technically it's illegal to celebrate it... but its not like anyone enforces it

There was a great one a few years ago- it was either chelsea or chelmford (deffinitely a 'c' town!) council where updating there local council bylaws- they found out that technically you where allowed to kill a welshman inside the area of the old walls once it was with a bow and arrow and after midnight! I think they've changed it

OK for all of you who obviously don't know. The STAR in the east lead the three wise men to where JESUS CHRIST was born in Bethlehem. December 25 is Christs b-day. That is why the star is on the Christmas tree. Here is some more stuff you probably don't know. www.webtol.com/tolxmas/xmas15.html
