No one really knows for sure, but I'm guessing he will side with Thomas and Scalia on most things, and I think Roberts will trend towards that side too. It looks like they could be a solid voting block and only need one other justice to side with them to decide most cases.

It looks like they could be a solid voting block and only need one other justice to side with them to decide most cases. Well, in my law class last semester i did a project on several of the cases being heard in the Supreme Court this term. Many of them seem to revolve around cases brought by Ashcroft and Gonzalez, it seems. Others seem to be about individuals bringing law suits, which involve many Constitutional issues. I'd have to consult my notes at school, but there are many cases to be heard in the court, and i i have some knowledge of some of them. I doubt that abortion will be outlawed; it's too deeply set by precedent already. However, in the Court right now is a case scheduled to be heard involving New Hampshire Vs. Planned Parenthood of Northern New England. The case revolves around parental notification involving teens seeking abortions. I'm not sure how the Court will decide on this case, however, it could be very well curb the abortion rate in the US should the Court find for New Hampshire.
