Supernatural
Arrow
The Legend of Korra
Agents of Shield
I'm also still slowly working through Deep Space Nine.

Currently watching the Two Towers! I got the extended edition of the Hobbit last week and it made me want to watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy! The Legend of Korra season ended, and it was a pretty epic ending after a slow start to the season.

An Adventure In Space and Time
As I happen to know the Americans haven't seen it yet, I'll say only this...
OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOD! IT'S THE BEST THING EVER!
You will need a box of tissues and possibly some paddles to restart your heart when you see the last five minutes.
I'm still buzzing, and to think, BBC 4 is now airing the first four episodes.
Like a kid in a candy store...

I've never seen anyone get so stressed out about trying to make a fire. Also, why were the cavemen speaking English? It can hardly be classed as the doings of the translation matrix because there were scenes of them talking in 'cavemen'. Am I over-thinking it? I know it was educational back then, but what would children have learnt? Fire is important? Cavemen are obsessed with fire? Cavemen are unrealistically stereotypical? It bugged me. Definitely over-thinking it.
Although I did love the jargon. Nowadays, it's so technical you get the sense that it must be correct. Back then, it was so simple you get the sense they weren't really trying. I mean, come on, 'Yearometer'? Ooh, I wonder what that does. Ha. My spellcheck changed that to 'Year Omelet'. That'd make more sense.
Anywho, two down, two to go. Really enjoying it. Been a good night.
I don't think I'll be able to sleep.

An Adventure In Space and TimeAs I happen to know the Americans haven't seen it yet, I'll say only this... OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOD! IT'S THE BEST THING EVER! It's airing over here tomorrow night on BBC America, so I will definitely try to watch it! I watched that a long time ago when I started my "Watch all the Who!" quest. It's pretty interesting, but can be a bit too dated for most people. I love Hartnell's Doctor though and all his companions, and it's cool seeing the first time that the Tardis gets stuck as the police box. BBCA is currently having a marathon, so I'm watching "The Big Bang" episode.

Yes I was surprised to randomly switch to BBC4 tonight and see a black&white Doctor Who, from 1963. Is interesting though.

There hasn't been a lot of Doctor Who in the UK until the last week or so. It's all kicking off. We had The Science of Doctor Who last week, a Culture Show documentary tonight, I've got some classic episodes to watch, I've got the Greatest Moments to watch and I've got a BBC Radio 2 documentary to listen to.
We've already had the The Night of The Doctor prequel that was just phenomenal, The Last Day prequel that was phenomenal, and there's The New Five Doctors coming on Saturday. A fifteen minute comedy featuring five classic Doctors who earlier this day protested about not being in the fiftieth. I think it was a joke, but they had banners saying the fiftieth wasn't the fiftieth without them. It'll feature Sean Pertwee, Jon Pertwee's son (the third doctor). Whether he'll be the third, I don't know.
It's amazing when you think about it, though. This week, we've had or will have The First, Second, Third, another Third, Fifth, Six, Seventh, Eighth, Tenth and Eleventh Doctors appear in character on television or in deleted scenes. Not to mention The War Doctor. There's only the Fourth and Ninth missing. And I happen to know that may change...
It's just staggering the level of celebration around all this. Even the Google doodle has gone all 'Who'.
It's been amazing.
Just really, if you can, make an effort to watch An Adventure In Space and Time. The last five minutes are just so moving and will literally blow your head off.
Oh, what a week.

I finished watching Star Trek: Deep Space Nine last night. Pretty awesome series and Captain Sisko is such a bad ass by the end of it. Felt like a good ending to the series, everything was wrapped up nicely. Looking forward to starting Voyager!

I have a feeling no one will care about this...but I must say...while not much has been lifting my spirits whatsoever...I watched "The Sound of Music" (performed live with Carrie Underwood as Maria Von Trapp) the other night when it aired, and thoroughly enjoyed it. (I wasn't that excited about it initially, since I was expecting it to bomb for some reason.) I was a little disappointed it didn't follow the movie completely, but I still thought it was completely fantastic. Especially great since I'm in a location that doesn't have culture or any great entertainment. Oh, how talented people amaze me...and even make a tiny bit of my heart happy, for a time. The song "My Favorite Things" made the tears well up. And the line I remember most of all was something like..."You can't use the Abbey to escape life!" aha

Yes, they certainly did a good job with about three different star trek series all at about the same time. My favorite characters were Odo, Worf, Data, and Quark. You'll like Voyager. Especially the fourth season when they get a very hot, sexy character as a new star.
