well, hopefully if he wins he and his advisors will be creative and brilliant and come up with some solutions for the economy. I surely hope so.

USA still has troops in Korea so McCain was right about mentioning North Korea because they have 'em in South Korea near the border, I think. It's been more than 50 years since the Korean war. But now it's not called war. And that's what McCain meant.
McCain's comment "I could walk on some streets in Iraq" comment was probably true. I don't know. But here's what I know: You've got a potential president, walking in a country that is at war. It is common sense that you've got military people around him, just in case.

no one predicted that bill clinton would be able to get the economy in such good shape when he was elected, if i recall correctly. The economy had nothing to do with Clinton, he just happened to be President during the tech bubble. The most important thing the new President should do is get rid of Bernanke in 2010 and choose a decent Fed Chief that will raise interest rates.

Again this 100 years thing is blown way out of proportion by these dishonest videos. USA still has troops near North Korea. And it's been what, more than 50 years? But it's not called war now. These videos also play in to the paranoia of some anti-war people. Here's a reality check: One president can be in office only 8 years so he can influence the country for around maybe 10 years with the things he sings, in most cases.

I very much like Saturday Night Live's skits about Republicans and Democrats. They did a skit of my favorite far-left loon, Keith Olbermann, played by Ben Affleck.

Oh I see. For the people, who will vote for Barr, or any other anti-war candidate, which Obama will not be, think like you. And you ignored the fact that America still has some troops near North Korea, which is what McCain meant with the 100 years remark. It cannot be a 'sensless war' when it's protecting the whole world from terrorism.
