Thinking about taking this for my anxiety. Got it online without a prescription, so I don't know if it's legit. I know, I know, I have to be cautious. Anyway...anyone tried this?

never heard of it, but I do know effexor works great, you should definately get a prescription for it though just to be safe.

if you're gonna self-medicate, you need to take responsibility to inform yourself fully about the drug. here's the prescribing information. i'd read every word if i were you. and if you don't feel you can understand it, it would be a good idea to consult someone who does. i'm not sure where you heard that it's used to treat anxiety, but the prescribing information from the manufacturer says it's used for treatment of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. www1.astrazeneca-us.com/pi/Seroquel.pdf

That is dangerous stuff. It's not for anxiety. If you want something, try st john wort first.

I took this for a while, a few years ago. I got some bad side effects (really tired all the time, weight gain, low blood pressure, tremoring like I had Parkinson's, dry mouth and other things that really only effect females...) and yet mentally I didn't feel much better. It's not something i'd recommend, especially if you don't have a doctor there to monitor you.

The side effects of Seroquel, both start up and withdrawal, are horrible. That is when taken under the care of a doc. It can mess up your liver and trigger diabetes. If you are getting it without a script, god only knows what they will send you. Do not try it.

Seroquel, while used primarily for what you mentioned, can also be used to treat anxiety/sleep disorders. Initially, I was prescribed it *for* anxiety many years ago.

Well, I was prescribed it, but ended up not taking it for some reason. Just wondered what others' experiences were before I took it, I guess.

Just received the Seroquel, debating on whether or not to take this.
