I was wondering whether a 20 year old girl for example would it be acceptable for a 30 year old man to date her?where would u define the age difference.10 years 12 years does it matter.

what do you mean by acceptable? by whom? you would have to consider an individual case in order to determine if its ok or there are problems. I think people generally find it easier to connect if they are around the same age age, especially when younger, as they go through the same motions.

There are men in their 30s, dating girls in their 20s, as long as it doesn't exceed 10-12 years I think it's OK. I think an ideal age difference would be approximately 3 years or so, but I really don't know.

I don't think it matters much at all (as long as they're legal)...unless its a young girl trying to marry an old man for his money. That's just wrong.

It depends on the couple. There have been couples with a vast age difference that made it work, while others didn't.
By the way, there was a 48 year age difference between my parents.....my mother didn't marry him for his money because he wasn't rich....but he did die when I was 7 (yes, I still remember him). Their marriage wasn't great, but they stayed together.....I don't think the age difference was the problem, it was more that my father could be a mean old codger.
