I joined a dating site match.com about a week ago. I filled out the info and posted a pic. I sent out an email to this girl that after reading her profile and seeing her picture i found interesting and attractive. She actually sent me an email back that nite talking about some things we had in common and asked me where i grew up. It was a pretty positive email so i wrote her back that that nite. Its been almost a week but i haven't heard back from her. I was surprised thier are alot of people on this site but you dont know who is real or fake.

I have given up on dating sites, I have posted adds.
Online dating is a lot like proper dating. I meet someone, go out once, then when I see them again they just don't seem right, and I might even ignore their calls and give up on them completely.
Many times I have "settled" for a guy in the hope that some kind of miracle will occur. Well that's what I have experienced on the dating scene.
And I have ignored some online friends and men mailing me through match.com and others, not because I'm evil but it kind of just lacked that something.
I'm broken hearted at the moment. Do you think you could be in love with her? are you heartbroken? I say.....FORGET about her and dating sites.
You move on.
And maybe some of the women on those sites are a bit wierd anyway.....the very old fashioned way of "bumping into someone" is probably better than dating sites I've recently decided.

I guess the online dating isnt that much different. I mean if you go to a bar and you meet someone yes you see them physcially thier at that moment but at the same time anybody could be telling you what they want you to hear just like a email or phone conversation. All in all i it was a good time. We meet somewhere and we drove over together to a restuarant for dinner.

That's good to know that everything worked out. I would give you a pat on the back, but I am somewhere else.

I continue to be amazed by the number of people here who think alcohol is the answer to shyness.
