For those of you who don't know, ACORN is partially (if not fully) funded by tax dollars. The organization's employees go out of their way to save people from paying taxes, even if they set up a prostitution ring with underage illegal immigrant girls. As with Van Jones' story, most of the media has ignored this ACORN story. No wonder Fox News is beating all competitors .. combined. Crazy. Times are a changin'. All you need nowdays is a camera and courage and you can break a national story that has massive implications. In this case it cut funds to ACORN.

When I heard this on the radio it did not surprise me.
I'm glad they are cutting off federal funds to ACORN, and while the government is at it they should cut off all funds to any organization regardless of their political affiliation or corruption. Too much time and money is wasted on organizations, earmarks, government pork, lobbyists, and bailouts.

Jay Leno did a fine piece on ACORN ;D Vermont seems like a strange place. Both senators are basically socialists (one openly so) and both voted for funding of ACORN. Including that guy the currupt former Illinois guverner Blagojevich choose as a replacement in Senate for Obama. Nice. Even Jon Stewart got riled up because the media got beat by two people with the combined age of 45.

Well, it was to be expected that Obama would be rocked by scandal during his term. I'm just surprised that it didn't happen sooner. Acorn is just the tip of the iceberg at any rate. I'm sure much more will be uncovered eventually. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) There's plenty of shady happenings going on, and its only a matter of time before the starving media reporters go out and discover it. Oh, and Naptaq; FOX is doing so well with ratings because they are practically the only major network in the US that caters to the more conservative viewers. CNN, NBC, ABC, and CBS all lean more towards liberal broadcasting, so the ratings are spread out a lot more. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) My dad watches FOX news almost every night, and although I agree with much of what they say and comment on, I grow tired of hearing only the one viewpoint. So I watch CNN and CBS as well. The liberal networks also are reporting about Acorn. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

For every 5 left leaning channels and magazines there has to be a view that's more accepting of conservatives. That's surprising in a country that is center-right. 1Man, I saw that Charlie Gibson didn't even know anything about the ACORN scandal a few days after the story broke. And Gibson of course is a liberal guy so he didn't see the story from his liberal sources, I guess. That tells a lot. When a news organization ignores a legit story, that's not right, no matter where they lean.
