So, this may seem like a weird/simple question, I don't know.....but, personally, I've realized I really got nothing that I truly look forward to/find enjoyment in. Maybe partly it comes down to depressive feelings...but I also think it comes down to just lacking interests in general, or not having any fully developed interest. (which makes me sound completely lame, I know!) But yeah, I'm just curious. What do you all get true enjoyment out of? What do you look forward to? Do you have particular things you can wake up and look forward to each day? It doesn't have to be daily, though. Aside from interests, it can be anything you feel you live for, too. Just wondering. I've most likely asked this question before, and I apologize if I have.

Breaking out of my shell. Hmm... that's about all I can think of. I live in the moment these days.

Really, I have money a good high level job with a global firm, but no one to come home to or spoil feeling feeling so lonely................ not a friend in the world. "THis is so true Money doesn't equal happinies" "money doesn't equal happiness" - Very true. However, you can at least see you have things going for you, right? Seems you're at least settled into a good job and must be successful in that area of life. That's half the main battle of life, I think. Some people don't even have that (*points to self*...and I don't even know what direction to go). But being able to maintain independence is a huge deal really. When it comes to love, you'll just have to hang on to hope that you'll meet someone someday....you never know when someone will come along. People can meet in odd, unexpecting ways. But I know it's not easy to hold on to hope. Believe me, I know how much loneliness hurts. I pretty much feel defeated right now in terms of everything. When really--trying to see my situation rationally--I'm only just beginning and haven't even really tried yet. :S But seriously...if you're at least comfortable with your job and are doing okay in that sense, that's a lot to be proud of in the time being.

It's hard for a lot of shy people to feel sorry for someone who has a good job! LOL
I would say the best thing to look forward to is goals you set for yourself. I agree with psycho cybernetics (old book) that we are goalsetting mechanisms and that is what gives us purpose in life.

I'll give you that or though when you are away and have to eat out asking for a "table for 1" is not nice and always feel like people are staring at you. Still have a snowboarding weekend to look forward to but for one! how sad am I after doing vegas by myself and now this.....

Hmm, that's a pretty good question. I guess day to day I look forward to solving interesting problems at work, and coming home to El Ferreto at night to unwind. Longer term, I hope to come up with some awesome software idea that can change people's lives in some way, and implement it. Maybe make some money in the process. That's pretty vague, though, and for now I'm content with sitting in that "searching" phase. Dunno if that helps, but good luck in finding something that drives you.

To go into my bed, because as soon as I turn off the lights and go, Tinka will awake, jump on the bed and walk over my chest until I stroke her back xD
