How should i take it guys? I mean, always when something like this happens...which is rare...i start getting my hopes up..but i mean it's just an internet message , we still don't meet or nothing.
I saw her pictures in her facebook and she's hot and pretty BUT in her pictures she's always with groups of people doing partying..going out, going to clubs.. and was even in those crazy halloween parties all dresse up in costume.
and also she's the kind that dresses sexy.
She's living in my city but is a foreigner studying english.
I just said in my first mesage that i was interested and if she would like to be friends.
And she answered. So i guess at least she was respectful enough to answer, even though she might nto like me in the end.
Another thing i did, that may be the reason she answered is that just before writing the message I uploaded a photo of myself. Before this i had taken my photo off and never had a picture. But i figured girls don't like to respond to guys without pics.
Any other fellow shy people had similar experiences where you write to some random girl you like who is living in your city and it turns out good...OR bad?

Usually, nobody responds to people without photos. You can be another bogus, for all we know. That's why a picture always helps.
About that hot girl which replied to you, well your guess is as good as mine. Maybe she's someone polite to reply to messages and I can understand that you're flattered. But I wouldn't keep my hopes up (yet) if nothing's come up after that message.
At least she didn't ignore you. But now that she's friendly, then you can message her if you like. I mean, it's just the internet thingy, so it's quite common, and yes, you're right that you didn't meet yet.
Just play it cool and don't get too excited. Maybe she has a lot of messages she replied to.

Thanks. yeah i don't have any hopes anymore. She sent 1 message, then i replied and she hasn't replied. Probably never will.. Why they do that? That happened before too. Imeessage a girl, then she writes a message.. then i reply.. then no response ever..
So why they ever write that first message anyways?
Facebook is useless for making friends from scratch

Well no she's not that.
Good news. yesterday i decided to mail her on my own just say "hey how's it going, you didn't respond to my message i realize you may be busy it's ok.. just wanted to say hi"
and she answered!!
apologized that she was busy etc. then commented on me being quiet.. she thought it was rare and she saidpeople from her country are shy but she's not. I'm starting to think if i ever meet her in real life she will be intimidating.
maybe she hates me cause she's the loud type party type.
aaa that sucks. i guess this will go no where. Everybody in dumb facebook thinks quiet people are weird.
Anyways, i still have hopes. i will keep emailing her.

Why judge her for hating you and she will be intimidating? You never even met her. Look, she just have a different culture, so maybe that's why she's quite different from your expectations of her. And don't let her pics on fb fool you, sometimes, those pics can be misleading. Maybe she's just posting her happy pics, for all you know she get lonely sometimes That's right, keep emailing her and you should get to know a person better BEYOND facebook coz every life has a story apart from their photos and profiles. |

Thank you gals. Yeah most times that i met people through craiglist and fb and meet them in real life, they become disappointed cause i'm not outging typical americna and they give up and not interested in me so it all ends. (i recently like 2 months ago met one girl from Facebook she was so disinterested didn't even make conversation even though i'm shy and a bad speaker and i tried my best) I hope someday it will change. Currently i have 2 facebook people that are nice to me. The one i told you about who lives in my city and i just started writing to recently and another girl who is living in her country but had been in my city and said she's coming back to my city in February and with her i have great friendship already becauses we have written and chatted in fbook. If she comes, i would think she'd like to meet me  That girl also said she likes partying etc but she said "but i also like quiet and calm things" . Usually i don't buy it when they say that. I mean what kind of party outgoing person likes being in a quiet calm place or envrionment or whatever. almost never see that ever. but i'll believe her. |

One thing I would caution about foreigners studying and foreigners in general. Lots of people from 3rd world countries are looking for some sap to provide a green card for them.
Also make sure she is really in your city. There are plenty of scammers out there pretending to be someone and find out it is some big sweaty man in Nigeria.

Also make sure she is really in your city. There are plenty of scammers out there pretending to be someone and find out it is some big sweaty man in Nigeria. hahaha! Ya! You remembered those strange emails you got from some supposedly Nigerian "royalty" which had some goldmine or hidden treasure somewhere, yadah yadah... At first those chain of emails really got me thinking, but the hell! How did they know (and a royalty at that!) my email? For sure they're just spammers. But they sure know how to create fancy stories. |
