...so I thought I'd share. There's a girl I work with, and during the last year we've hung out a lot and become friends...so naturally I had to go and fall for her . Anyway, I put off asking her out for various reasons such as: she didn't want a relationship due to recently being hurt by a guy...she's probably going to be leaving for Cali for an Internship...and also that she never really seemed interested in me anyway. Well anyway, after a looong time of driving myself crazy I finally had a chance to mention that I liked her. She just told me again that she's not interested in dating and wants to concentrate on her career and travelling, which is fair enough. At least she was cool with it and doesn't seem uncomfortable with me (at least so far ). She's a cool friend and hopefully I haven't ruined that. But I feel a lot better since I'm not driving myself crazy, and I wont live the rest of my life regretting never finding out. For certain members of this forum: Yes, it's that girl, and yes I know I took fecking forever...shut up. But at the same time I was right about her wanting to stay single, so HA!

Sounds like some of the regulars know about your situation... but it doesn't matter how long you took to tell her! At least you did! So for that, congrats! Also, I'm glad to hear she didn't freak out and doesn't seem to be planning to stop talking to you just because she found out you like her. In my eyes, that's a very good sign. It probably means she likes you in a certain level, but prefers going on with her plans of studying and traveling. Maybe in the future? If it's meant to happen, I'm sure it will.

Yeah, we'll see how it turns out.

Good for you Scotty, It's always best to try and find out than regret all your life "what if?" At least you're lucky enough not having that feeling of discomfort. Glad that you're okay and she's cool with it.
