I have a question. So I hugged the guy I like the other week and as we let go and I was going to leave somehow our hands ended up holding each other. It's kinda weird how that happens as it wasn't intended. He then said something to me about keeping in touch (as he lives in a different country and I won't see him again for ages). Anyway, my question is - if someone your hand while they said something to you, would you say that shows interest?
Would you hold a girl/guy's hand to say something if you weren't interested in her/him? I know I wouldn't - but maybe that's just me. I'm not a touchy-feely person.
This guy, from what I know of him, is quiet and I think shy. I've never known him to have a girlfriend - but we live in different countries so I don't really know. He is always quiet though and even a friend of his once said that he's quiet (I wish I could ask his friends more about him, but I can't as I don't want them to know I like him). That said, he performs for a living, so it makes me wonder whether he is coming out of his shell and not as shy as he used to be. I know I could never perform in front of other people for a living.
I know most people hug others and that doesn't often mean anything, but I just remember looking up at his eyes when he was saying he'll keep in touch while thinking 'he's holding my hand'. lol. I almost didn't want to let go - but other people were around and I had to get going. It only lasted about 5 seconds, but still, it registered in me.
So, as fellow shy people can you give me your thoughts on someone holding your hand? I mean, we weren't walking anywhere. It wasn't like if a buy and girl hold hands while crossing the road or somewhere. We were both stood still, I went up to him to say bye, got a hug and then he held my hand for a bit longer as he said one more thing. Can it mean anything or am I just clutching onto straws? I can understand a louder, extroverted person holding someone's hand to say something, but he's shy like me, and I'd never hold a guy's hand unless I actually liked him, even just for 5 seconds. Would you?
