Hello everyone
Recently people have been questioning me as to why i like going out and exploring things alone. They get upset that they don't get invited and i find it very frustrating that outside of work, I am not able to enjoy myself without the need to worry about what other people think.
Am I selfish that 90% of the time, i enjoy the freedom of my own company?

I don't see anything wrong or selfish about that. You are just doing what you like, not something you are guilted into. I'd question them as to why they care what you're doing.

I agree with Rose, there is nothing wrong with enjoying doing things on your own. You like the ability to explore and expedience things in your own way. Personally I call that brave, and pretty cool.
If people are getting upset with you that they're not invited to go with you all the time, perhaps you could make plans to do things with them on other occasions. Though I don't think you should be under any obligation to do things with other people if you don't feel like it. Certainly, you shouldn't feel guilty.

No, I think you're lucky actually & seem more like an independent person, which is a great thing!
Most people don't have the time to enjoy themselves & often complain about not having their own time because of work or school, etc.
And also it's good that you're actually doing something that makes you feel happy or entertained.

I love spending time by myself! I am exactly the same way but I don't feel bad about it at all!

Well, depends on what you're exploring. If you're going out into the woods alone, that's probably not the best idea. From a safety point of view, having a buddy along can be life-saving if, for example, you're hiking/climbing/camping/etc.
If, however, you're just exploring the urban "jungle" (no pun intended), then by them getting upset means that you're the proverbial "popular kid in class". They just want to bask in your glory.
