Hi people, I'm an old newbie. Some of you may remember me as Anna, some of you may not know who the hell I am.  But i've noticed this board is struggling a bit (and so am I) so I thought i'd jump back on board. Recently been written off by a man I liked for being shy and "making him uncomfortable when I don't talk", so clearly I haven't made a full recovery yet. But it feels like a whole other life since I last posted here. Anyway, enough of my nonsense for now. Hello everybody. |

I remember you!! ;D I guess we lose some, we win some. It's good to see you again!  When you say you haven't made a "full recovery" yet, does that mean you're mostly past the point of being shy? What else have you been up to in this "other life" you speak of? |

Hey Anna! Welcome back! Thank you! How've you been keeping? I remember you!! ;D I guess we lose some, we win some. It's good to see you again! When you say you haven't made a "full recovery" yet, does that mean you're mostly past the point of being shy? What else have you been up to in this "other life" you speak of? Thanks, it's nice to see a few oldies still here too. I think I am mostly past the point of being shy. And in those situations where I am, I actually see it as method of self-care. Sometimes i've found it a positive thing to have a bit of 'space' between myself a new people, so I can suss them out a bit before I open up. Obviously it's not great to do it all the time, as you have to take risks in order to gain something. But I don't think it's always a problem. Oh and i'm now at college doing a massage course (actually touching real bodies of real people!). I live on my own now, away from home. I'm really getting out there more and it feels great.
