How well do stimulants like caffeine, ginseng or tyrosine work? Do they make you anxious or do they improve your mood and/or social ability?
I've only tried caffeine, and I've found that its effects are mostly good. Seems to improve mood and mental sharpness which in turn makes me better able to respond to people. Obviously it is not any type of cure but just a mind enhancement. Coffee will work but there are also guarana supplements, which are convenient to take. And there are health concerns when it comes to stimulants, especially if you have a heart condition. I don't take more than the equivalent of one and a half cups of coffee in a day.

It depends for me. I don't know what it depends on, but sometimes when I drink coffee I function like a champ and other times it makes me really anxious. I feel like I talk too much and it makes me shaky. Of course, when I talk too much I get self conscious and then I feel super anxious. But other times, I'll be right in tune with a convo. I guess I get more anxious on the days when I'm already feeling that way.

Stimulants just wake me up, but if I drink too much I can get jittery. As for as mood, I guess I am in a better mood in the morning with coffee.

Sorry, I drank a particularly good pot of coffee last night.
