And not as guilty pleasures; I'm really big fans of them. -I have a crush on my therapist (how am I supposed to bring this up with her?). -I'm afraid of airplanes ( and I'm joining the Air Force! I'm always thinking things through, I am : -I voted for John Kerry (that can get you arrested for treason nowadays).

Could you give a few examples of tranference in the school-related environment, or that doesn't exist. . .? Transference and countertransference are specific psychological terms that refer to the client-therapist relationship during therapy. So unless you're in therapy in school it wouldn't apply. Although I'm sure similar phenomena exist in school settings, such as the student-teacher relationship. Here's some definitions: Transference: Transference is a phenomenon where patients undergoing clinical therapy begin to transfer their feelings of a particular person in their lives to the therapist. For example, the patient may begin to feel the same feelings towards his or her therapist as the patient does for his or her lover. These types of feelings may be positive or negative. The therapist must be aware of this phenomenon and may even be able to use it to help the patient. For example, role playing with the patient. Countertransference: Countertransference is a situation in which a therapist, during the course of therapy, develops positive or negative feelings toward the patient. These feelings may be the therapist's unconscious feelings that are stirred up during therapy which the therapist directs toward the patient. A therapist might start feeling uneasy about therapy or the patient, unhappy with the way therapy is going, or unhappy with themselves. Just like transference, this is not an uncommon situation in the therapeutic situation. Of course, therapists must not act on any feelings they have. I experienced both these phenomena in therapy. In fact, I ended it when I did because of counter-transference. I felt my therapist was recommending life changes based on her own past experiences in her relationships rather than providing unbiased therapeutic guidance and allowing me to make my own decisions. She behaved as though she thought I was identical to a younger version of her, and she was giving advice to her younger self to avoid the mistakes she had actually made in her life. So I boogied. The therapy was still worthwhile, the counter-transference wasn't a problem until the last month of an eight month period. But this kind of thing does happen and you have to watch out for it. Therapists are only human, and can fall prey to the same tendencies we all do in spite of their training.

Oh, and I should tell my dark secrets (not so dark): I write things. I write things that people would hate me for. I write what we all fear. In my diary. I have 4 crushes I did small damage to someone. Physical damage, and it is between us, and if someone else finds out, I'm finished. It has been 6 years already, though. I must be in the clear. Mmm, nothing else!

I can't believe I'm admitting this but I have a deep-seated fear of zombie movies. Had it all my life and I can't seem to shake it.

Okay, I've thought of a dark secret. I've had a crush on a couple of my teachers before....to the point where I felt sick about it.

What i really hated about my past crushes was that they never took me or my feeling seriously.
