I recently viewed my copy of the Star Trek Insurection again, and it reminded me of a cool thread to start here. In the movie, Picard and the rest of the Enterprise crew risk their careers to save the Baku, a small group of humanoid lifeforms that live isolated from galactic society. Thing is, their planet's rings continually regenerate their biolgical structures, making them stay young and healthy forever. If ever such a fountain of youth were to be discovered, would you utilize it? I'm not sure if i would. I'd like to get some more input into yalls' opinions.

Hey, I want to know the reason why 1 person said 'No'?? I'd definitely use the fountain of youth... I hate the thought of getting old, wrinkly and body parts failing heh and theres sooo much to do! Not enough to do in one life time. But, as long as its not under the conditions like that old movie 'death becomes her' where they need to patch themselves up after accidents!

One lifetime may not be enough to get to see and do everything, but I don't know more than one lifetime- that's a lot of pain and stuff too- no such thing as a free lunch

I dont think I would ... even if I was imortal I don't think I'd ever end up doing everything I'd want to do lol, and even if I did, i'd just finish it all and be bored ... what good is that? When people sit in bars at mid-life ages talking about the "good ol' days" of high school and college I really think that's because so many think it's just the thing to do, and that's when you have fun and that's the end of it. It's not true at all though, only if you let it be. I personally can't wait to get out of college and settle down with my girlfriend and just travel around everywhere with her. Of course, it would be nice if she stayed young and beautiful forever lol

I think I'd rather kill myself then live in a world with so many youths.

the question itself is a little abstract I feel it can use a little grounding
instead of living the usual years would you mind twice as much? how about 1000 years? how long?

Would I be stuck at this age forever or would I get to be a kid again and forever? If I'm stuck at this age, then hell no. Looking forward to old age and death.
