A wink can happen if two people have a rapport with each other and one wants to communicate something playfully to the other that's based on a special knowledge/experience they share with each other. I guess.
At my last job a woman who I worked with winked at me once when she made a suggestion on how to deal with a stubborn issue we were having. It was so cute. I guess it's a playful thing for some people.

I foresee a knew a thread about people's opinions on winking. I'm too lazy, haha. But you can start one! ------------------------------- Anyway... I... fucking... love... music. I don't know why I just wrote it that way, as I realize now that looks a bit weird, but whatever. Music rocks. I love how it can soothe the soul. Even a broken one.

^ It just hit me - you also wink if you're lying about something. Like:
"I did not *wink* steal that carrot from the butchers".
One of the reasons I first got into music was because I could really relate to it, so I do totally agree that a large part of music is its rockitude. I never really listened to music until my brother got me into rock a few years ago. When people asked me why I liked it and I told them it was in a time when I was struggling with a few things and it helped me realise I wasn't alone, I found myself relating to it more and more. And it continues to do this to day. Of course, people called me an emo for liking rock music for anything other than its tune, but then I thought 'I'm into rock - I don't care what you think'.
**** them all.
Sorry, that went on a bit long...
I think my point was that I love music, too.

when the word 'love' doesn't seem adequate to express your feelings. Also, when you find something online so good/funny/clever, that you wish you could like/upvote it twice!

Anyway, since making the comments about winking, it's funny, because quite a few people have winked at me since. Including some female. All occurences at work. Must be way more common than I thought it was.... :S ---- I randomly love....concealer and foundation. That stuff can make a surprising improvement to a very crappy looking face.
