Its true. It gives men at least the appearance of desirability(the appearance of being a worthy mate) and raises his demand.
sounds like a good theory. and maybe some people actually do that. but women with any experience will be more likely to hit on the solo guys instead of the ones who are coupled up...lots less work and more likely to have a successful result.
