I have no clue what it is, I remember when I was younger probably ages 3-9 I would talk to practically everybody. Something happened though, and now I talk to practically nobody...

My mother told me that as child, I walk away with anyone, people I knew or strangers.
As child most people are more extrovert. I was it too, but was never a wild child. I too have recordings of me dancing and singing and acting (I liked to put up a show and be funny, I guess).

I was never really talkative. I don't remember clearly, but my parents say I would always play on my own when they arrived to pick me up from primary school.

A lot of people get shyer during puberty. Social interactions become more significant, at this time. It's obviously not just being horny and wanting sex, since that doesn't explain the increase in importance of (non-homosexual) same sex social interactions. I'd guess it's because everyone is suddenly competing for sexual attention, and having others of the same sex know one is superior eliminates them as competition. I'm sure there are factors not involving competition, too.

Yesterday while here at work I get a message from my boss saying she needed to speak to me. So, my first thought is: Oh no! Well, actually she told me they are going to move me into another office. They're going to take me off of the phones, partly because of being sick for so long, and because she knows I'm uncomfortable talking with people. What I'll mostly be doing now is faxes, online work and that sort of thing. Then filling in for people who are out sick. Because I'll actually have less work to do, than I do now. The only thing I don't like: My new office is smaller and doesn't have a window. Its like a prison I also have to go to the lung specialist today. Hope everything turns out okay. I had a dream last night where I went and they told me I had to have surgery . Okay I'm done rambling for now

Good luck with the new position, and especially with the doctor visit! Do they let you have a radio in your office? That might help compensate for the lack of a view

Alecto, I had no idea your breathing problems were that serious. I hope you'll be OK.

Thanks Jarous.
Well, I did go to the doctor. I personally don't like him He's really old, and seems sort of scatterbrained.. He kept asking the same questions, over and over. Anyway, I'm on more medication. And now I have to get some blood test done for some other stuff. (it could be all the medicines causing my problems, but they have to test me just to make sure)
Yep, this'll be fun..

That's an attitude. It's frightening to trust someone - especially an old scatterbrained man in whose hands rests your health an life - isn't it?

Actually its sarcasm.
Of course I gotta try to remain cheerful or I'll get really stressed out, which isn't good for me.
Yes, the doctor does concern me. I'm probably going to switch to another one.

And so I thought it. Switching doctors isn't easy for me, I hope you are easier about it. Somehow it feels like ingratitude and 'disloyalty' towards him but then it's your health. You have every right for the best care available.

My health is too important for me to care about the doctor's feelings. Besides he's only seen me once, I'm sure he wont' miss me too much

Yikes! I can't think of much that's scarier than a senile doctor.. I've heard of people complaining about that same thing, Alecto: finding out that they're being over medicated. If you think this guy's screwing up, i'd definitely try for a second opinion. Maybe try asking around to find a doctor with a good reputation. The doctor i go to is very good, but it's impossible to get in to see him! He has a couple of partners at his office who take his "overflow" cases, neither of which am i impressed with. I'd have to make the appointment like a month in advance if i wanted to see the one i want to.
