I picked up Touching the void from the rental place.
It was awesome. Beautiful scenery with the snow capped mountains.
But the story was an amazing tale of survival against the worst odds. It's a true story of these 2 mountain climbers who set out to climb the Siula Grande which has not been conquered even today.
They went up there without any expedition or support team of any kind, just the 2 of them, in what they call 'alpine style'.
They managed to get up there. But on their way down one of them falls and has a serious leg injury. This was perilous since there was no way of getting help up there and no support team.
Eventually they got separated. And the amazing part of the story begins from here. I wont tell anymore, you should see it for yourselves.
I am waiting on motorcycle diaries to come into the weeklies list next.

After i saw the first one i was looking over my shoulder for the shadow, because there was always a shadow before anyone got killed. It gave me the creeps as i watched it just before i went to bed.

I just watched The Weather Man. I thought it was pretty good, a bit dull though, and the story meandered a bit with the son's story. It was cool to watch because it was filmed in Chicago, some really good shots of the city ~ i.a.

I saw V for Vendetta and thought it was really good. Great action sequences, an interesting script, and of course lots of the beautiful Natalie Portman.

While Natalie Portman is a beautiful girl, her accent annoyed the hell out of me lol Oh and I was a little disappointed there was no tongue in the kiss scene ;D

I saw V For Vendetta yesterday. Pretty good adaption of Alan Moore's comic and with quite a few not so very subtle jabs at the Bush-administration. Lots of flashy knifwork and some killer soliloquys (yeah I had to look it up) performed by Hugo Weaving made it a fun flick to watch! I highly recommend it to those of you that have not seen it yet.

I saw V for Vendetta today, I thought it was really good. The fact that some of that stuff is relatable to todays society is scary.
Natalie Portman is the best crier in Hollywood.

I just got back from V for Vandetta. I thought it was great; it's amazing that the same people who made that POS The Matrix made this. There was a lot more focus on the story than the action, although the action was great. But what I didn't like was that it implied Guy Fawkes was some kind of hero. The ending kind of disturbed me too, I agree with what Roger Ebert said about it.

" Why the mask does not limit his peripheral vision is a question I will leave for the experts" "Behind it is the actor Hugo Weaving, using his voice and body language to create a character, but I was reminded of my problem with Thomas the Tank Engine: If something talks, its lips should move." Haha thaaaat Roger Ebert I never heard of Guy Fawkes until I read articles about this movie. I didnt know how to feel about the end, was it an act of a revolution or an act of terrorism? ~i.a.

I also saw V for Vendetta recently and loved it. V is both a revolutionary and a terrorist. He is both a hero and a monster. In the real world, oppressed people who fight back are rarely Gandhis. They tend to be a mixture of noble and repulsive.
