To be fair, North and South Yorkshire don't like each other very much. Sheffield bombed? Oh, no. What a shame... I didn't think we were involved in the Cold War. Jeez, will the American's never sop dragging us into their mess? There was a lot of nuclear preparation around here in the olden days. Or '1980' as it was known. Here's a funny article about it. It involved signs reading 'Nuclear Free Zone', and the fourth image down is of a shopping centre in Middlesbrough doing nuclear prep work. How the centre survived an attack but somehow four people have unconvincingly died, whilst others look on, can best be described as 'comical'. It's a really good article. rememberwhen.gazettelive.co.uk/2012/07/nuclear-free-zones.htmlHmm, the wonders of the Cold War, eh?

I think in this scenario every country remotely allied with America got bombed and well the UK and the US are allies and were back then so they also get bombed, I get the impression the entire world was bombed.
Anyway, it was an interesting film, a tad serious though, but that's what you would expect from films about nuclear holocausts.

Gravity - It was pretty good. It was nice to see Sandra Bullock in a movie that wasn't some cheesy romantic comedy...god, I hate those... But, anyways it was hard for me to think that a movie about floating around in space could be thrilling but the movie accomplished thrilling quite well.
Byzantium - Pretty decent vampire movie. Interesting story and it lacked sparkles. I liked it okay.

The Wind Rises- A film by Hayao Miyazaki. Unlike most of the films I've seen from him which are mostly fantasy based, this one his a historical drama. It was still a beautiful animation but I found it a bit lacking compared to his previous films.

Veronica Mars - It was really good, especially if you're familiar with the tv series.

- Xi you xiang mo pian ( Journey to the West : Conquering the Demons )
A movie directed by Stephen Chow, the same person who made Kung Fu Hustle ( one of my favorite martial arts movie, I've mentioned it before if memory serves ), it was pretty great, I had a few moments of genuine laughter while watching it and I just love the imagination this guy has when it comes to the fighting scenes as well as both the Demons and the Demon Hunters.
- The Matrix
Obviously not the first time I've seen that movie but since it had been such a long time since I last saw it ( and it wasn't in HD back then ) I thought why the hell not. It's as good as I remember it and both the fighting scenes as well as the special effects still live up to this day. I plan to watch the other two movies of the trilogy in the coming weeks.

I love Stephen Chow's movies. Kung Fu Hustle is one of my favorites too. As well as Shaolin Soccer. I think the most recent movie i've watched is Disney's Frozen. I really liked that movie. Maybe i'll watch Captain America "Winter Soldier" next. Heard some good things/reviews about that movie.
