Sounds a bit like Melancholia, currently my fourth favourite film. Nothing on tonight, might give 'Coherence' a watch.
I've seen so many movies lately I can't keep up with the reviews.
The One I Love, 9, The Guard, Blue Ruin, In Bruges, Wristcutters, Sightseers, Enemy...
What can I say about them?
'The One I Love' will give you a headache.
'9' is one of the greatest animated movies I've ever seen - definitely for adults and very dark in places, but utterly superb.
'The Guard' is a buddy cop comedy set in Ireland, made by the team behind In Bruges - it's very, very funny.
'Blue Ruin' is an excellent independent movie, slightly noir and very bloody. A good all round thriller. Really makes you think.
'In Bruges' is legendary - a modern classic.
'Wristcutters' is surreal and very funny, whilst very dark. A thoughtful and well made independent film.
'Sightseers' is, in my humble opinion, the greatest British comedy film ever. The writing, the story, the soundtrack - it ends with my favourite song. Such a funny, dark, very bloody, very graphic, yet very British comedy horror-thriller.
'Enemy'. If The One I Love gave you a headache, this will make your head explode. The ending is the most baffling ending in anything ever.
All absolutely excellent.

Jurassic Park 4 (as I call it).
I don't see why so many people didn't like it. Way better than 3 and 2, and not far off 1. Entertaining, exciting, scary, well written, well directed - Vincent D'ONofrio - what more could you want?
JP5 should be good...
(Coherence made my head hurt).

- Jurassic World :I absolutely loved that one, it turned out much better than I hoped and without spoiling the ending, I'd say that the final "fight" scene is one of the most satisfying thing I've watched in a long time. Dinosaurs are so cool, I don't care how nerdy saying this makes me seem, I love them . - Avengers : Age of Ultron : 0/10 Ultron should have won. Seriously though, I don't know why but I always end up rooting for the bad guy in these movies, they're often more entertaining than the heroes themselves and Ultron definitely delivered on that front. Apart from that, it's pretty much what I expected, it didn't exceed my expectations but neither was I disappointed in any way so I guess this means 7/10 ?

Civil War was brilliant. Ant-man/Giant-man stole it for me.
X-Men: Apocalypse - wasn't anywhere near as bad as I'd been lead to believe. But I agree that the whole franchise just seems to have stalled. First Class and Days of Future Past seemed to be moving it in a new direction, but the lastest film feels....aimless. The four horsemen felt largely redundant, standing around a lot. And Jennifer Lawrence becoming such a big star only seems to have resulted in her role being overblown and far more central than I think Mystique should really be. Quicksilver was awesome, as expected, and the introduction (finally!) of Cyclops was welcome. Though his jump from shy kid to 'c'mon let's bunk off school' seemed a bit......Well there's a lot of those feelings in the movie, but taken on it's own it's enjoyable enough. Psylocke and Angel were largely wasted, but James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender put in great performances as usual.

"How to Be Single" - Apparently this didn't do so hot with ratings, having just looked that up. I watched it about a month ago, but I quite liked it. The very end stuck with me - definitely something I would choose to do.

HUSH, HUSH SWEET CHARLOTTE. I really like the scene where Jewell Mayhew says, who was it that said, "this long disease my life?" It is coming to an end. Maybe two weeks, maybe a month . . . .
All I have now is ruined finery . . . .
I am, what is the saying? Stony broke . . . .

Suicide Squad - I suppose for what it set out to be it was quite good, I wasn't expecting brilliance and it felt like they added a few too many characters to this film overall it was enjoyable.
