Yes, this is a very sensitive and personal topic for me as well. I slaved in the same grocery store for nearly five years, working my butt off to help pay for school and other expenses. I was both a cashier and a sacker, always seeming to change roles when they needed me to. So i can say with great passion and authority on this subject; PLASTIC ALL THE WAY!!!!!! ;D Only if people take them to be recycled afterwards. Some do, but i imagine most people do not.

Whether we want our groceries bagged in paper or plastic. Either that, or your preferred method of payment, i'm not sure.

Paper doesn't make sense to me. It's harder to carry and it rips easily.
The store where I work doesn't even offer paper bags. For large orders we use boxes leftover from stocking.

My store doesnt offer paper either, but sometimes we have paper bags. One time this psycho woman wanted her items in a paper bag and then the plastic bag placed inside a paper bag because it would be "easier to carry" Freak. ~i.a. ;D

I've never seen a supermarket offer paper bags before. But I'd always choose plastic anyway, they're easier to stuff full and carry. And also they're easier to re-use for other things, and my cats like to play with them and make them rustle.

Plastic... paper tends to rip. Also paper bag's don't usually have handles which makes them more difficult to carry.

I wish more stores did offer paper bags; I need something to wear on my head when I go out in public.

I've never had paper bags but plastic seems a lot easier. Oh definitely. As a former bag boy myself, it's much faster and easier to bag in plastic as opposed to paper. Especially if you're short.

Yes plastic bags are a helluva lot easier! But being so tall I have to bend over a lot which hurts my back ~i.a.
