Obama's "My Muslim Faith" -- in context Besides the allegations that he's a muslim, which are fallacious, that are coming from this interview, it's interesting to see him address the abortion issue the way he has. He doesn't know when the soul enters the fetus.. My question is, till when is abortion legal, in the USA? 2 months? 3 months? 6 months?

i don't care what the context was...to utter the phrase :my muslim faith" on camera at all was a stupid thing to do. how am i supposed to believe this guy can handle the job if he can't handle talking to one reporter without screwing it up? he's gonna have to talk to alotta people who will be dissecting his every word for meaning ya know. to say something that can cast doubt on his honesty and intentions like this is a pretty bonehead thing to do. i mean, any of us can do that! lol

I'm not sure what to make of the last two posts. Are you two in agreement with the idea, that 5% pay more taxes so that the other 95% pays less taxes(precentege wise) and get other benefits, or think this is a joke? My problem with all of this is lets not forget that the US Government has shown an unbelievable ability to spend money. The US Congress could take in 1 Trillion US dollars a day and spend it all and still cry that they don't have enough and then borrow more from China. There isn't enough money in the world to satisfy the people in Washington DC so I see not reason why I or anyone else for that matter should send them any more.

In a world where a talking mistake disqualifies anyone to run for office.. well in such a world Obama and McCain would resign and just go home fishing. Even if the mistake is corrected 3 seconds later.. disqualified. 'no integrity'. And, yes, context matters a plenty. A small trip down the stairs.. disqualified. These politicians are not infallible machines. Only humans.

These politicians are not infallible machines. Only humans. sorry, but that's what this job requires...an exceptional ability to communicate is absolutely essential. and this isn't the only time obama has screwed up. it's just the most recent time that's getting alot of media attention. from what i've seen he's done alot of verbal bumbling. i would be delighted if everyone one the republican and democratic tickets were disqualified...because i believe they are!

Now it's at 9 Trillion. Well, the good news for you is that Obama and McCain will, apperently, both cut taxes.

I love those tax incentive pay outs to help out every American...blah blah blah but it didn't make much of a difference when the flipping gas prices more than tripled. I went from paying $12 to fill up my tank to $35 to fill it up for the week. So the extra $23 times 52 weeks meant I am paying an extra $1196 a year in gas. So much for the tax incentive checks. Oh and flipping gas is around $5.50 a gallon here so it cost $77 a week to fill the tank up.

Gas prices in USA are one of the least taxed prices in the world, and thus has one of the lowest prices of gas in world. OPEC that now will cut back on production. Great. Now the prices will go up and up and up. So I say drill ANWR. OPEC doesn't give a damn, all it cares about is money. As in candidates tax plans, they're refering to taxes on people. Tax on gas will probably stay the same.

you can't look at one factoid in a vacuum. as the price of fuel goes up and up, taking all the rest of the prices with it, the american taxpayer is going to have less and less surplus cash to give away.

I mean where are they going to come up with the money for these tax cuts, Oh wait I don't want to know.
