Obama's intentions are good and he basicly want the top earning 5% of the population to carry the other 95% (who also get the tax cuts). carry? oh please! I'm not sure what to make of the last two posts. Are you two in agreement with the idea, that 5% pay more taxes so that the other 95% pays less taxes(precentege wise) and get other benefits, or think this is a joke?

OMFG.... trailblazersblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2008/09/now-available-sarah-palin-action-figures.htmlThis may not be the place for this...but I just saw this tonight and it's pissing me off. Seriously...I'm going to sound horrible for saying this, but I don't think we're ready for a woman to be in power. How can they sell such a stupid little figurine of her...even trying to "sex her up"? Look at that little mini-skirt! Can't we just value intelligence and leave all the stupid beauty queen sh*t behind? It's not just this doll....but other things said about her in the media. I just don't think it has any place in such a situation. (and Mccain had referred to Obama as Britney Spears ) I really don't think I can take this election seriously now... This is the first year I'm able to vote, and yet I'm not sure if I'm going to vote at all. All I know is that I'm very disappointed in how this election is turning out. It would be awesome if one day they did say this was all a joke and brought in some totally different, intelligent candidates to choose from. i also think mccain actually has a shot at winning now because of his choice of running mate. i don't care much for her politics, but when he put a cute, sexy alaskan gal on his ticket, his public stock shot through the roof. (we have a way of doing that. ) obama can't hardly get on the news now cuz this pistol packin' mama is all the buzz. and we all know one thing for sure...sexy sells. All this hoopla over Palin has had the opposite effect on me. I can't take her seriously. And...I'm pretty sure if Hilary was in the VP position...they wouldn't make a sexed up doll of her. (not that I was for Hilary...but good lord. Nothing in this election is making sense.)

does soaking the rich sound like a sensible proposition to you?? Not really, especially if you're rich! But he is Robin Hood-Obama. In the interview Obama says that's being 'neighbourly', because Obama and other rich folks can afford it and the poor can not.

Palin's RNC speech with the combination of who she is, her story and her looks made an instant celebrity. In my lifetime I haven't seen a Republican celebrity so this is a nice change. There's always a lot of back and forth negative comments and other stuff happening, but I think it's not that important, because at the end of the day it comes down to the policies, issues.. at least that's how I'd approach it. Obama on The O'Reilly Factor, part 3 www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqtM-LndolkThis vid is about Obama's assosiations.

How can I forget if I never knew your theory about such things in the first place? I'm sorry but if it's some victimization theory then I don't agree off the bat. Oh, I think I see it. Nobody has to steal in order to become rich. Oprah, Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, George Lucas, Spielberg, Sam Walton, Magic Johnson, J.K.Rowling ect. are prime examples of that.

I'm certainly not in their league of wealth but I didn't do anything bad to anyone to get where I am. OTOH, there probably are plenty of wealthy people who have done bad things to get where they are the same as plenty of poor people who have done bad things to others.

and how much is someone's labor worth?
yes there are, there are always are whats important though, is how many people did it honestly, and how difficult it is to make money honestly as opposed to cheating/stealing
unfortunately any sort of redistribution scheme only makes things worse it makes it more difficult for people to earn money honestly in the future
