I think SFZ was asking what non-"legitimate" help a shy site had to offer--and that is advice and a place to go where your troubles are all the same (and everybody knows your (screen)name). And SFZ, I think SP was just saying that what a support forum can't be expected to do is actually solve people's problems; it can only be expected give you support in dealing with those problems.

yeah, that was my meaning. plus the fact that coming here is only one small part of addressing your issues. and when those issues are severe, it's not going to be nearly enough in the vast majority of cases.
i got the impression i was being nagged over semantics. perhaps i was wrong.
