From my experiences, most women do not like shy guys. They view us as weak and somewhat feminine. I've read that interacting with shy guys illicits the "mother instinct" in women and I believe that because that's the vibe I get whenever girls I know try to talk to me. As much as I hate to say it, nice girls don't actually exist, although they will be nice to you they will never like you in the way you want unless you change. Even the most timid shy girl will respond more to some jerk-off who is assertive than a genuine good guy who hangs back, despite what they say. Women don't know what they want, they say one thing and mean another. Being shy is perceived as weakness if you are a man in this sick Western culture we live in. Fortunately we can change, its just a long, painful, excruciating process. I am just starting to try to change, even though I hate people. it's perceived as weakness for women too, it's just that being weak is considered to be a desirable trait in a mate by many men...at least until they have to live with it for awhile. you mention hanging back being unaccepted. well, you do have to come out of your shell at least to the extent you communicate with someone you like. otherwise, how is a relationship supposed to develop? by telepathy? it's not easy, but you can do it.

Actually having been shy myself ive found that the older woman is more attracted to the shy guy ive had a few of the women around 40 come on to me basically cos of the fact they found my bashfulness cute. Also certain women will go for a shy guy for example my sister is only interested in long term commitment shes been with a shy guy now for 6 years the reason is she says there more trustworthy.

Wat i mean is it depends on if the girl wants a long term commitment or whether she has had experiences with shy guys before. Like ive explained before my sister choose a shy guy because she thinks there more reliable and so far it has proved right.

Like ive explained before my sister choose a shy guy because she thinks there more reliable and so far it has proved right. if a shy guy has an ingrained trait that keeps him from sleeping around, that is bound to make him a more attractive for a ltr to women looking for that. put on the other end of the spectrum the uber confident macho outspoken arrogant braggart who sleeps around any time he gets the chance...yeah, shy guy wins. the thing is i'm sure that guys fall all along that spectrum, and there may be attractive shy guys out there who will sleep with any woman who makes a pass at him as well. (and of course i'm using the term 'sleep' euphemistically )

look dude, your sister chose one particular guy because she liked him there are tons of things besides him being 'shy' that affected her decision and just what makes this guy shy?

He was shy cos i knew him from school and my sister was his first girlfreind at 26. I also have a cousin who prefers shy or quiet men for the same reason that they are more relaible in a longterm commitment.

yes, girls do like shy guys, because im shy and i like a shy guy. We have being shy in common so we are comfortable around each other. Also, they tend to be more outgoing around people they are comfortable with.

Man why are there so many people guys on here who are bitter at girls. So your shy? big deal. you should think of yourself as an unique individual of society. You guys need to have hope that one day you will find someone yes, girls do like shy guys, because im shy and i like a shy guy. We have being shy in common so we are comfortable around each other. Also, they tend to be more outgoing around people they are comfortable with. That is true tigrl86, I have just recently notice that once I get to know someone I become more outgoing
