I recently finished the audio books for the first three Percy Jackson Series books by Rick Riordan 'The Lightning Thief', 'The Sea of Monsters', and 'The Titan's Curse'. They were all really good, though I am not a huge fan of the person doing the narration on the audio books, he makes some of the characters sound needlessly stupid, and its annoying. Currently I am listening to the audio book for the forth book in the Percy Jackson Series by Rick Riordan, 'The Battle of the Labyrinth'. So far its good. I am also currently reading (in actual book form) "Cavalier" By Dr. Lucy Worsley. Its a history book mainly about the Cavendish family. Lucy Worsley manages to make history intimate, and interesting. I'm enjoying it so far. I am also still working my way through "Guards! Guards!" by Terry Pratchett, I don't know why I'm reading it so slowly, I think I'm averaging about one page a week. At this rate I'll finish it sometime next year. I think the story is just not interesting enough to make me want to read it through quickly, but its not boring enough to make me give up on the book.

Game of Thrones by George R R Martin Nearly finished it despite having seen series one of the tv show first lol. It seems that like me you got into reading the book after seeing how awesome the tv show was, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one ;D. I'm personally already in the middle of the third book ( A Storm of Swords ) and I must say this book series has me really hooked !

I recently finished listening too the audio book for "I was told there'd be cake" by Sloane Crosley. She's an essayist along the lines of Davis Sedaris. I really enjoy her work so far, and hopefully she'll come out with another book soon. I already read her only other work "How did you get this number" (not sure if I mentioned it in this thread already).
Currently I am listening to the audio book for Stephen King's "It". Great book, great narrator, I'm really enjoying it. I read the book as a teen, and its nice to go through it again.
Still trying to get through "Guards! Guards!" by Terry Pratchett.....

I finished reading Eragon today. I started off a bit slow for me, but the last half of the book was really good. Now to see if I'll get through the next book. lol I saw book 2 and 3 in that series going for £5 together in a cheap bookstore, but there was no book one. Is it better than the movie? I've heard people say it is. I'm reading an Illustrated History Of The Crusades and Crusader Knights

I recently finished the audio books for: "Fraud" by David Rakoff, I own this audio book and have listened to it a few times before, I enjoy it every time, its a collection of autobiographical essays by David Rakoff. "Half Empty" by David Rakoff, again essays, again, I really enjoyed it! "Dry" by Augusten Burroughs, this is one I've listened to before as well, but I really enjoyed it both times. Its an autobiographical account of Burroughs's addiction too, and battle with, alcoholism. Its both fascinating and moving. There is something that I definitely relate too about Augusten Burroughs, so I really enjoy (most of) his work. "Possible Side Effects" by Augusten Burroughs, this one was autobiographical essays, I enjoyed them. "The Wee Free Men" by Terry Pratchett, I've listened to this audio book about 3-4 times now, I really enjoy it every time. Its a fantasy novel set in the disc world. Its my favorite story arc of all the disc world characters. ;D "Cruel Death" by M. Williams Phelps, I am a bit embarrassed to admit I have a macabre love of true crime books by M. William Phelps, he always goes into fascinating detail the case, and the history and possible psychology of murderers. As well as the way the case was solved and later tried in court. Currently I am listening too the Audio Book for, "Perfect Poison" by M. William Phelps, and reading in actual book form, "Don't Get Too Comfortable" by David Rakoff.

I've just finished reading The curious incident of the dog in the night time which I really enjoyed. It's a novel written on the viewpoint of a 15 year old with aspergers. It's quite emotional as you see how hard it is for him to understand the world around him and how hard it is for everyone around him to understand him.

I recently finished reading Jeffrey Eugenides' The Marriage Plot, which was a great novel!
I'm currently reading Ann Patchett's State of Wonder, which is a modern take on Heart of Darkness, except with women as the main characters. So far it's fascinating.

The last one I finished was "Star War : Darth Plagueis" Which is pretty much a prequel to the Phantom Menace movie, concerning how Darth Plagueis found Palpatine and their plan to destroy the Jedi. Currently I'm reading "The Phantom Tollbooth" which is a cute childrens book. So far it's a pretty clever and entertaining book.

Right now I'm reading Ali Smith's novel "There But For The". It's interesting so far...a man goes to a dinner party and then locks himself in one of the spare bedrooms and refuses to leave. After several days, the house's owners start to freak out.

I just finished the audio books for: 'Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?' by Mindy Kaling, it was really good, funny and interesting. I liked her honesty, and sense of humor. For any one who doesn't know, Mindy Kaling plays 'Kelly Kapoor' on the tv show 'The Office', she also writes for, and is co-executive producer of several of the episodes of the show. 'I Shall Wear Midnight' by Terry Pratchett, I already read this book in actual book form, but I really enjoy the audio books for the 'Tiffany Aching' story arch of the Disc World series, so I wanted to hear it read aloud. It was a great book both times, the Tiffany Aching story arch still remains my favorite. I am currently listening to the audio book for 'Going Postal' by Terry Pratchett.... again. Its really good! ;D

I recently finished the audio books for:
'NPR Funniest Driveway Moments', which was complied by Robert Krulwich. It was pretty good, but nothing amazing.
'Me Talk Pretty One Day', by David Sedaris. I've listened to this one before a few times, but I love David Sedaris's work, so I enjoyed it again. The book was a collection of autobiographical essays, beautifully written and funny.
'Going Postal', by Terry Pratchett, another one I've listened to a few times before. Also very good. The 'Moist Von Lipwig' story arc of the Discworld series is fantastic.
'Horowitz Horror' by Anthony Horowitz. A collection of short stories. I thought this book was pretty good. Not overly scary, but good story telling. A lot of the stories had a fable like quality that I enjoyed.
'Johannes Cabal the Necromancer' by Jonathan L. Howard. I thought when I first started this book that I would not enjoy it. But, as I listened to it, I enjoyed it more and more. The writing is sort of a cross between the humor of a Terry Pratchett novel and the inventiveness of 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus'.
Currently I am listening to the audio book for 'Johannes Cabal the Detective', by Jonathan L. Howard. Its pretty good so far.
