- UndertaleI bought this game mostly out of curiosity due to how popular it seemed to be and how many people were talking about it. As a result, I kept thinking and even fearing before starting it that there's no way that Undertale could live up to the expectations set by all those people. How wrong I was... This is without a doubt my game of the year 2015. Undertale has managed something I was convinced was impossible, rekindle my love for video games and the many possibilities this medium has to offer. I mean, I've loved video games since I was a kid but as the years went on and I was able to buy more and more of them, the sheer pleasure and sense of adventuring I derived from them seemed to lessen ( not to mention the whole Steam backlog problem and how many games I started but never finished ) with a few exceptions here and there. But Undertale has made me realize what video games as a medium actually could achieve, there's still so much potential here that has yet to be exploited. Playing a video game is not the same as reading a book nor is it like watching a film, it's a lot more interactive in many ways. But this game does something more, it knows that it's a program on a computer and uses that knowledge to great effect, messing with you as the player. I could go on for a while about how great the soundtrack is, how endearing the characters are and how many times I smiled while playing Undertale ( that is on a pacifist run, there's no way I could do a genocide run, it was painful enough to watch it on Youtube ) but I think you already got the idea at this point .

I really want to play Dungeons and Dragons. I've thought about joining the online site Roll20 but as a D&D newbie I feel really nervous about joining someone's online campaign. Oh wow, i have the same urge as well. Actually bought the dices out of impulse.....hmm....now if only we can find another fellow SU'er that can DM then we will be set! Do you know which race/class you wanted to be? Oooo! I'm so excited to know someone else wants to play the game too!! I bought the dice as well! I also kinda ended up buying the 5th edition Player's Handbook, Monster Manual, and Dungeon Master's Guide - they were a Christmas gift to myself. Currently I go back and forth between wanting to be an Elf Monk or a Dwarf Warlock. Which race/class are you interested in?

Probably Halfling Cleric, i really like their personality traits and how they lead their life in general. Less fighting more healing

I would consider being DM because I think it sounds kind of fun, but we'd still need someone else to play as a character. Plus I can't promise I'd be very good since I'd be learning as we went along, but maybe a group of total beginners would be fun?!

Also Starfall what is your free schedule like, cause i need to factor in the timezone difference?

There was a time last year that i searched the internet to download books/manuals of the rpg game Dungeons and Dragons. It's been a VERY long time since i played it. I think i was in elementary school back then. Is it easy to relearn how to play the game? I think i need a lot of reading if i were to be DM. Plus i'll need access to rulebooks and other manuals like monster manuals. I'd think it'd be easier if i were a player. Willing to try though.

Whilst waiting to find out Starfall schedule, can i also know what times you are available, mainly because of the timezones involved. Also do you have your own dices or places to buy them?

I'll message you about my schedule. Outcast - I think it will be fairly easy to relearn the game, though I'm sure it's changed since you last played. I'm happy you're willing to join us on this adventure!

I'm usually available around this time. The time i posted this reply. But i'm usually within range of an internet connection daily. So i can check online more often. Well i don't have a dice, but i have apps and programs like spreadsheets that can more or less act like dices for me. Regarding my preferred race/class i don't really have one at the moment. I should probably pick something that isn't that weak though. So our chances of surviving or prolonging the game would be longer. @ StarFall: Well i've always wanted to try to play Dungeons and Dragons again. So i'm just glad the opportunity presented itself here.

Recently completed SOMA, which I loved overall. So atmospheric, creepy, emotional. Also finished Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP. Lovely little game, though frustrating puzzles sometimes. Awesome 8 bit graphical style, wonderful music. Well worth the few hours I spent in its world

www.freesimon.org/
Played this game a few minutes ago. It's like the one from the 80s that my dad got me for a xmas present in 1983. I use it to help my memory not get worse. Plus the lights are relaxing to look at also.
Edit: Had the sound off on the laptop because I was listening to the tv lol. Sounds are relaxing on this game also. I actually did better on this game after I turned the sound back on because I can match the sounds easier than I can the lights:).

Tried the simon says game. I also have some game apps on my ipod touch that focus on memory building/concentration. One of them is similar to that Simons says game. But mine deals with remembering numbers. It adds one number after another, and you try to remember the order/sequence of the numbers. I think it's a pretty good to exercise our memories as well.

Minecraft. Finally stuck with it long enough to get a little world going. Enjoying it when I get chance to play, can be very theraputic after a stress-filled day.

Minecraft was really involving for me, I couldn't play it for a little amount of time, I had to pour hours upon hours into it when I first got it. I haven't played it in nearly four years however I found other games like Rust scratch that survival itch just a little better.

I tried Minecraft a while back but my old computer couldn't run it too well. I need to try it again now that I have a gaming computer.
Lately I've been sucked into playing World of Warcraft which is surprisingly enjoyable, and Overwatch which is really fun to play!
