Arkham city is awesome and is also an incredibly short game, nowhere near as time consuming as skyrim.

Sorry yeah I didn't mean to imply Arkham City is a similar experience to Skyrim, and is more my type of game these days! I did love Arkham Asylum, it's a game my nephews love too, they're 19 and 7! Then again it is Batman ;D

I've still not played it yet and I bought it in the steam sale back in December! A younger version of myself would be calling me a total disgrace right about now. "A Batman game and you've not completed it? There is no way I'm growing up to be you!" ;D
It reminds me actually there are loads of games I've done that with recently. I've done the exact same thing with Skyward Sword, Syndicate, Assassins Creed Brotherhood, LOTR War in the North, Kingdoms of Amalur...if only I didn't have to go to work.
Hopefully I wont be adding Max Payne 3 to that list when it comes out for PC next week.

Anyone else been playing the Walking Dead game series? www.telltalegames.com/walkingdeadChrist on a bike! That's one hard going piece of entertainment! For anyone who's not played it, it's essentially a point and click adventure game where the decisions you make and the things you say to people directly affect what happens to your character and the people around you during the season. It's weird I have absolutely no real life experience of what it's like to be a parent, however thanks to this game I know how far I'd be willing to go to protect my child in the event of a zombie outbreak.

I haven't played it myself but I've watched a let's play of the first and second episode, it's a very good game with excellent writing and voice acting, I think I would go so far as to say that it's probably Telltale's masterpiece and in my eyes it definitely redeems them from that terrible Jurassic Park game. And Clementine is just so lovable .

^ That Walking Dead trailer looks intence I've just finished episode 2, I'm not sure I'll ever be able to push the image of having to chop someones leg off with a fire axe out of my mind. Much like the scene in Dead Space 2 where you have to drill yourself through the eyeball, I'm pretty sure both those images are going to be with me for life! Next game: L.A. Noire! ;D I need to get around to finishing that at some point.

It has been quite a while since I've last posted in this topic. So anyway, here's a list of what I've been playing recently as well as a few short sentences conveying my thoughts on each of those games :
- Far Cry 3 : I'm enjoying this game more than I ever thought I would when I first loaded it and had to put up with Uplay. Vaas is quite possibly one of my favorite antagonist in a video game though it's a shame that he's not actually the main bad guy in the story ( Hoyt is not even half as awesome IMO ).
- Euro Truck Simulator 2 : It's very hard to explain why I find this game so addicting yet I do. I bought it based on the recommendation of a friend of mine and I was pleasantly surprised. Which is surprising since most types of simulations are usually not my cup of tea but this is proving to me that I should actually broaden my horizons when it comes to video games.
- Tropico 4 : I've only started playing this recently but I'm having a blast so far. It was part of a sale happening on steam called Tropico 4 Collector's bundle which I'm guessing they did to take advantage of the launch failure that was Sim City. Anyway, I've had good memories of playing the first Tropico many years ago ( Actually it has been more than 10 years, time goes by so rapidly ) and this one seems very faithful to the original which I really like.
- Zeus and Poseidon : Another city building game and an old one at that. I bought it on Gog when it was on sale last week ( or was it the week before that ? I'm not sure anymore ) because I had fond memories of playing that game as a teenager with the only friend I had back then. It still holds surprisingly well despite its age, the gameplay is as good as I remember it and it makes me miss the developers that used to make these games, Impressions Games.
- Age of Empires III Complete Collection : Last but not least, there was recently an announcement that Age of Empires II is coming to Steam in a HD version that seems it's going to be great fun ( especially with the support for Steam Workshop, I'm really looking forward to that ). I am really excited about this since AoE II was the second RTS I ever played ( the first one being Red alert ) and I really loved it back then so I preordered it in a bundle with Age of Empires III Complete Collection which I actually never played before ( mostly because when it came out, my computer was a very mediocre one and I didn't have much money). I've played a little bit of it and it's not bad at all though obviously the main reason I bought this bundle was for AoE II HD and I can't wait for it to be released.

Its fun and addictive, but can be frustrating as hell sometimes Oh yes, the sims are very frustrating. I can barely control my own life - so I can't worry about them. It's fun tho. At the moment I am playing Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch and doing another playthrough of Dragon Age:Origins. My all time favorite games that I have played are Bully, Shadow of the Collosus, The Longest Journey, Dreamfall:The Longest journey, Mass Effect 2

I don't have much to add on this thread, lol. I'm not currently playing any games, but I'll just put some I've played in the last year and maybe before then. I'm not currently playing video games though I just don't have the knack.
The latest one I've played is of course related to music, since that's my primary interest, I suppose. Songpop on facebook. I've racked up quite a number of points, despite being a newbie on it, and gotten lots of opponents, which was fun. I seem to excel in 80s songs, classic rock, love songs, and lately seventies songs (when they gave me the chance to buy the category with my coins and try it). The thing I probably dislike the most about the game is, when they gave me the chance to be a VIP (or whatever it's called) for awhile, at least with me, I lost the chance to earn power-ups by watching a video about "bingoryzing". Once I was done my time of being VIP, I never became one again.
Other games I've played: I have a handheld computer checker game I play once in awhile and most of the time I've beaten the computer.
Another game (I don't have it anymore) my dad got me around 1984 was the Simon one (from RadioShack) where the machine makes tones and lights, and you have to match the sequences of it, up to 32 sequences. It was a little harder for me, even when I was younger, to win this one. You have to get all 32 right to be designated a "champ". I like the checker game the better of the two because you don't need a good memory to excel in it, as with this "Simon" one.
I have Solitaire on this newer pc (Dell, lol) I have; and sometimes I play it. It gets a little frustrating trying to move a card from the end to the beginning or vice versa, without a mouse; and when I don't move it correctly, the computer on the game thinks I've made a mistake, when in actuality it's just clumsy hand movements (or whatever) on my part.
That's all I can think of for now.

I was weak and gave in to the current Steam sale:
Counterstrike: Source Gary's Mod Half-Life 2 Terraria Final Fantasy 7
I haven't gotten to play much of them yet, but I'm looking forward to lots of game time, especially with FF7...nostalgiagasm!
