Hello all, I've just opened up a brand new section on our SHY United Forum called 'SHY Spice.' If you have a controversial topic that you would like the group to debate post it here.
NB: any mention of Meat Loaf or Unkle Garfunkle by anybody will force me to kick them off!
Thanks, NewOrleands

Good ideas all round. We had a 'SHY Diaries ' section on the main SHY United website until about a month ago. People sent in their diaries and we put them up. We changed the the SHY Diaries section into the SHY Weblogs section. Putting the 'SHY Diary' section on our Forums is a great idea.
I'll also open up a 'Shy Positive' section for motivational topics / posts and a 'SHY movies / music section. Shane

If aybody has an idea for a new category that they would like to see opened on our Shy United Forums let us know? Moogle suggested a few weeks ago about opening a craetive category, which we did. Any ideas?

I agree with Spitzig. It will take a few more meetings before you settle down. I started going to Huntington's Disease Support Group meetings about 6 months ago. For the first 3 or 4 meetings I was a mess and, like you, didn't enjoy it. I didn't know anybody else. Now, a few moths on I really love it. I found that I have so much in common with the others. I'm sure you'll find out the same. Stick at it.

That is interesting. You'd think that shy people would be the least competetive people on earth if you believe the old stereotypes. What sort of things are you competetive at? Sports? Work?

Are shy people not competetive? Not driven by ambition the way some people are? I'm not competetive in the slightest. It takes me a fortnight of pysching myself up just to get in a bad mood!

Don't worry yourself, Neworleans, the Bee Gee's can't dance -or sing - themselves.

I have been working for the past few months on a novel. I've had a dream for a long time to write a best seller and become rich and famous. That is my life dream but its also become my ambition. I was wondering, does anybody else out there have a dream? What are your ambitions for life? Are shy people more or less ambitious than 'normal' people?
