The is a linear aspect to our Forums. I never change things like the fonts and colours myself so I'm not an expert on how to use them. The best way is just to experiment with the add tags. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Thanks Moogle. I'll put a link on our SHY Diaries section today. I'll call it something like "Moogle's Weblog." It'll be a great addittion. If you want to choose a different name let me know, Shane.

That's a brilliant idea. I haven't kept a diary in about ten years since I left school. I was completely happy until I left school and then it all went downhill. I didn't want my diaries to turn into a version of "Krapps's Last Tape" - a Samuel Becket play.
In the play Krapp has been taping the highlights of each year of his life for about 40 years. He forces himself once a year to listen to himself as a young man full of hope. It was full of pain. That would be me.
How long have you been keeping the log? It would be brilliant to have something like that on the SHY United site. Could I put a link to it in the SHY Diaries section or put in on the site entirely and update it as you update it?
Let me know. Shane

Hello Maple. Welcome to SHY United. You're the 40th member to sign up for our Forums! If I had a big cake I'd send it to you! That really is brilliant going seeing as the site is less than two months old. The chatroom is on the main SHY United website at: www.shyunited.comOnce you get to our main website look for the 'SHY Chat' link on the left hand side of any page. As we are such a young site, we only have a limited number of older posts in these forum so far. But our General Board already runs to two pages. To move from one page to another in a particular section of our Forum: Click on a section from our main forum menu that you want to read - ie our 'General Board'. Look at the top of the page that loads In the slightly lighter green section it will say something like: 'Pages: 1 2' This refers to the number of pages on this particular section of our Forum. The number of the page you are currently reading will be solid, the other pages greyed out. Click on a greyed out number to go to that page. If you need any more help let me know. Hopefully we'll see you in the chat rooms soon, Shane.

Hello all. As a result of the positive feedback I received regarding scheduling informal chats in our SHY United Chat room, I have decided to schedule chats for every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening from 8pm UK time. These chats will start from tomorrow evening.
If these slots prove popular I will roll out other nights of the weeek as well.
Please note that this is 8pm UK time. I have just just placed a world time converter onto the very bottom of our homepage so that you can easily see how that time translates into your timezoe.
Please come along and give us your support!
Shane

I think I'm pretty artistic as well. I have written a sitcom (unpublished) and have started but never finished a few novels.

Let me know what you think. If anyone wants to suggest a time and day please do so.

Thanks everybody for your support. It's a full marathon which I think is around 26.2 miles. I've never run that far in my life so I'm working on my stamina and endurance at the minute. I had a pretty hard session in the gym yesterday but I'm not feeling too bad this morning. I'm worried about hitting the wall and everything esle that its possible to hit. I'll keep you all posted on how my training is coming along.

Hello all, I hope your all doing well. I'm training for the Belfast City Marathon on May 5th. This is going to be my first ever marathon so I'm scared wittless. I'm running for the Huntington's Disease Association Northern Ireland. My older brother has HD - a genetic, incurable illness. Im sitting here trying to type with aches and pains on top of aches and pains.
I was wondering just how many of you have done something like this for charity. Maybe you've done a sponsored swim or something. Let me know. It has only been in the last few moths that I have caught the running bug since I left school. It's a brillaint way to detress.

We actually received 612 hits on the day we were mentioned in the Daily Mirror. That number is about 6 times our daily average. We are still a young site and hopefully our popularity will grow.

Hello everyone, just a quick post to let you all know that SHY United was awarded "Site of the Day" by the Daily Mirror today (Monday 10th March). The Mirror is the sceond largest daily tabloid in the UK so it's a brilliant achievement and great publicity. The Mirror has a readership of millions. The Mirror runs a daily column called 'Amy's I' which looks at all things internet related. It was this column that awarded us site of the day. The exact wording was: SITE OF THE DAY www.shyunited.comA TOUCHING website that begs to be mocked, Shy United aims to boost timid people's confidence by getting them together with others of their kind. Presumably in small groups.

Here's something for all the Uk members. Radio 1's Sunday Surgery this Sunday will be about shyness / social anxiety. The programme runs from 9 - 11pm UK time. For all those not from the UK, Radio 1 is a massive BBC run radio station. It's also available on the net. It would be worth listening to at www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/
