Slinky, you've got a great user name and avatar. Glad to have you and ShyBorg, which sounds like a pun on Cyborg, both posting.
I have some things to say, and I never have mentioned publicly other message boards for people with "Our" problem, only in PMs.
If anyone wants to discuss the different groups I have participated in, both online and offlne, we can do so privately, although I'm not sure how accurate what I said above is in saying I don't mention the names of other message boards and groups, although I feel reasonably sure that I did not mention Shy United by name in any posts I did about groups I had participated in, although I did mention my being a Shy United member, and not in any negative way, to one member of another message board, in a PM.
I like Shy United and the members here. I do, like many others here, wish that we could get more peple to post.

Still recording on VHS and later watching some old films from Comet TV, such as Twice Told Tales, Diary of a Madman, Teenage Zombies, and others.
Also, still reading worlds finest comic books going bacck tothe 1950s, 60s 70s and 80s, when that title finally came to an end, Robin growing up and going out on his own, leaving superman and Batman to fight crime, as a twosome, and their relationship eventually souring and going their seperate ways, although in the following years they did have a few brief reunions.
I do like those old fashioned comic book sgtoires as ridiculous as they are.

The guy in the photo is John Cougar of the Zones from his first record album "The Kid Inside," ca 1974, which I think might not have been released, altho he did have a very successful career as a musician.

CharlotteGirl, this forum has been almost dead for quite some time, but there is a "not quite," as evidenced by the fact that you did respond to my post.
I mentioned it to a friend of mine Arizona, who said that he had not posteed in so long he had forgotten his password to log in.
He migtht not have checked when signing up to have email notices of possts to his thread if the board has that feature.
Arizona was afraid his posts wouldn't even be here but they are still here.
I supposae I cn post a repoly to one of his posts to see if he gets an email notification. (I doubt I ever checked that if gthe board foes have that capabioity.
Well, many thanks fo replying to my post and keeping a bit of life in this virtually dead forum.

Well, I've gotten a better looking avatar. A bit fuzzy, and I'm sure that I can improve the focus in the future, but, with all due respect, love and affection for the dear, departed hermit Ray Phillips (who in real life I look more like), I think this slightly sad eyed pretty boy, who some of you might recognize, but like myself, since the photo was taken, has also aged as badly as Ray Phillips in his final 2 years, and also myself, is more of what I want to present billd1 to the Shy United audience as.

3 days later and I still haven't finished reading that Worlds Finest text story, and the Tomahawk story, the last one in that comic book.
I missed the opening of Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine when I recorded it on VHS awhile back, and did watch the beginning that I had missed, yesterday, on the 10 AM showing.
I started watching the Mothman Prophecies, which I got a DVD of for only $1 at a public library, and while it runs too long, almost 2 hours, and the reviews of it I have read are good (some people say the reviews they read were mixed), I have found the film to be a bore.
My next project is to get a new avatar on here. As much as I love and respect the memory of Ray Phillips, the Hermit of Mananna Island, I really think he is a pitiful sight to look at, and I find that depressing, so I want someone younger and better looking to use as my avatar.
Still working on those 20 DVDs of Dark Shadows which run from the 1967 BW episodes thru early 1970.

Right now, I am reading an old 1955 issue of Worlds Finest comics, with Superman, Batman and Robin, in one story and Green Arrow and Speedy in another story.
I am in the middle of reading the text story on dog training, and after that the final story in the comic book is Tomahawk.
I have watched Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine, Dr. Goldfoot and the Girl Bombs, Teenage Zombies, Incredible Petrifiedd World, Diary of a Madman, and have watched most of Twice Told Tales.
I am also watching some old 1960s Dark Shadows TV shows, a few in BW, but most in color.

PS: I have visited the local habitat for humanity store and bought a lamp shade at a reasonable price.
And, I am considering using their other services if they can do some of the things that I want done.

I am glad to say that somoeone who is a friend of my family, hepled me out on putting some new floor covering in my shack, and also fixing some defective floor boards, and he did it for free, and my family paid for the materials he used.
There is still a lot left to do tho, and I am trying to do it all myself, or as much as I can do myself, witout having to call some professional who would charge me money to do the work.
But, I am happy to say that I have had people to help me, and it hasn't cost me any money.

I definitely do need to get a better looking avatar for this board!
It's just hard for me to think up of things like who or what to use for my new avatar.
I'm not the Prettiest Thing You Ever Laid Eyes On, but I'm not as, well how should I put it, I don't want to say anything disresepectful of the long deceased (since 1975 hermit Ray Phillipps), but to put it tactfully, I'd rather use an avatar of someone younger and better looking.

I've pretty much thrown away my life and wasted it. The Anonymous group that Arizona, who has not posted in I don't know how long, and was to be the co-founder along with myself, of whatever we were going to call the group, never got anywhere.
When I do occasionally post here, I tell Arizona he ought to check out the board, but as far as I know he hasn't done so.
There's not any hope for me with my problem.
I have joined another board for people with the affliction of shyness, and it seems like most of those on that board, are looking for the answers in drugs and professional counsellors, which I know from trying those tings won't dome any good, and will only waste a lot of money that I do not have in the first place.
Lately, I have been taking IQ tests. I told one of my "normal" friends what I was doing and he had a total hissy fit, asking me WHY do you want to take an IQ test?
You would, (or I would have though I had confessed to him that I had committted some horrible crime.
I told him that IQ tests were a lot like crossword puzzles, which a lot of people like to do, and the test are just a challenge to see if you can solve the questions on the tests.
Well he just plain didn't like IQ tests and thought they were not accurate and there was no need for such tests.
I will say that IQ tests, and the uses they have been put to, do deserve a lot of criticism, and I can do that myself, just from taking the tests.
But, that does not mean the tests are all bad.
I have only a few more tests to take of a series of many tests, and don't know if when or if ever I will get any more IQ tests to challenge me, but I am glad to have taken these most recent ones, have no regrets, and have learned from them. (I think the last time I took an IQ test could have been in the 1980s or 1990s).
