It shouldn't take you long to clear mirrors edge, it's a very short game.

You were right about Mirror's Edge ura, Steam says I've played it for 4 hours, and I've passed it, but I know I spent about 1 hour dieing and retrying the fighting sections (not fun), and about 30 minutes playing with the races outside of the story, so the main story only really takes a bit over 2 hours to pass from start to end. Really short but I really enjoyed the free-running side of things... even if it ACTUALLY made me a little motionsick after a while As for what I'm playing now: Killing Floor, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead 2, AI War, Dungeons of Dredmor. I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend anyone who wants to waste a lot of time to check out Dungeons of Dredmor, you can get it off Steam for FIVE BUCKS (australian anyway, works out to about 3 pounds for those in UK), and it's the wierdest yet most fun game I've played in a while. Video showcasing it hither ->

This Dungeons of Dredmor has picked my curiosity, I might just give it a try this week-end as it's been quite some time since I last played a rpg and I really need a break from horror games .

I started playing Bastion last night... and couldn't stop until I had passed it:
The IGN reviewer said that the story was kinda weak but I have to disagree with that. There were touching moments and I genuinely wanted to keep playing to see how it would progress further. The Narrator is really cool too, during the first level of the game I ran around smashing objects for a while with my hammer so the narrator chimed in with "Kid just rages for a while." I didn't expect it and it made me grin :3 To me, the game is a 10/10, and I will be passing it again on New Game Plus mode.

Almost finished Red Dead Redemption. Absolutely brilliant game. The atmosphere, storyline and gameplay are all top notch. And yes I know I'm a bit behind the times, but it's cheaper to play games that have been out for ages!

I've now clocked 16 hours on Neverwinter Nights 2, and I'm barely into the story at all, most of that time was spent re-making characters til I had one I was happy with And, what race, class and alignment did you settle with ? I personally never finished Neverwinter Nights 2 because it's one of those games that didn't manage to hold my attention and as a result was uninstalled rather quickly.

For this playthrough I have ended up with a Human Female Barbarian, by the name of Leona Razgar (didn't randomize that), no Deity, background is that of a Farmer, Chaotic Good alignment. I'm playing on Hardcore DnD rules which means area of effect spells can hurt my own people so I need to keep an eye on my positioning now that I have a druid in my party. It's fun so far though, as I actually feel like I'm doing damage.
I tried a monk before, they were sorta ok. Tried a swashbuckler, they're very boring with no active skills for a long time. Tried a mage but I don't like how fast they die. I would like to try to learn to play a rogue properly because from what I've seen they're insanely powerful when played right, and I wouldn't mind leveling a Ranger at some point.

I played the game without the add-ons that came out later so I'm not sure if this still applies but from what I can remember, monks are not that powerful at the beginning but later on they can be quite useful if you have the patience necessary to see your investment paying off . The character I played was a male half-elf whose name I can't remember and he was chaotic good as well because it's the alignment I find the easiest to roleplay with in most D&D games. His class was Warlock because that's the only one that wasn't present in the first Neverwinter Nights and it was actually quite good because they're a bit sturdier than mages and sorcerers. Anyway, have fun with the game geekguy ;D.

I've bought the humble indie bundle #3 ( and I've received the second bundle as a bonus for paying more than the average ) and I'm quite happy about that. I now have twelve new indie games to try ( though I've tried a few of the demos before so I know what to expect for some of the games ) which will most definitely occupy my evenings for quite some time .

I'm playing Gears of War 3 and loving it. Horde mode is lots of fun, Beast mode is lots of fun, and when I don't play the serious versus modes, the competitive multiplayer is a lot of fun. I've already passed the campaign with a friend in co-op and that was great. It felt like a really good end to the series, and I really really hope they don't make any more (god-damn it halo series just bugger off and die already!)

So um... I have a confession to make... I've become an Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim addict :3 Since I got it on Thursday, and started playing it a little before midnight on that thursday (because it was released slightly early in aus, but it was digitally locked upon installation until the proper release time), and from then until now, even though I've been to work twice this week and had work and school on thursday and friday last week, I've still managed to clock a total of.... ahem.... 46 hours lol. And this is while still dropping in on a friend of mine, having a friend come around and bother me, and having send-off drinks at the bar for a manager who is now in Queensland lol. I need to give it a rest this weekend and get cracking on some schoolwork since there is only one or two weeks left and plenty of assignments to finish off. I just hope I have the willpower to resist haha. oh yeah and the game is completely %#$%ing amazing, just incase you didn't gather that yet

Lately I have been playing Unreal Tournament 3 and Soul Calibur IV, which I bought recently. It's bizarre having Darth Vader in the Soul Calibur world, lol.

I've never played any games in the Elder Scrolls series but I heard Skyrim is meant to be fantastic.
