Well I suppose it gets tiring and frustrating as it happens again and again. Yeah. It's soon. And it's beginning to depress me. You know what's funny? I always forget my age. And it is always awkward when I'm asked about it.*sigh* Whatever. I should stop whining in your topic. ^^' Have a nice week.

It can be a complement but I think there's a difference between someone who looks good for their age or someone who is ageing well and me who most of the time looks like a bit of a mess I hope your birthday isn't too depressing! I really wasn't looking forward to mine but I did end up enjoying myself I eat some a lot of cake and watched some films it was a nice relaxing day I'd like to forget! When asked I just lie and say I'm 20 and then cry silently to myself when they say I look younger. Trouble is I do that so often I feel like I'm starting to believe it myself. I need to be careful in case I say it around someone who knows me as that would be embarrassing... ooh no feel free to keep whining! It reminds me I need to post here. This thread would probably be dead otherwise

I'm wondering, would it be possible to say something like "I'm 30 and please don't say I'm joking!"? Thanks! I had my birthday party with my family today. To be honest, I think we aren't really the party type of family. We have a hard time having fun (me first). But, anyway, I liked the chocolate cake. ^^ I bought chocolates for my colleagues but I'm still wondering if it's a good idea. I feel like I'm getting sick so maybe I won't even need to bother. We'll see. Well. Thank you. I'll keep whining to a minimum though.

When I say I'm 20 they say I look good for my age...they have no idea Yeah if I'm forced to reveal the truth I try and make a joke out of it before they do and that works. Lately I'm finding that laughing at myself first is the best defence That sounds nice! My parents weren't in for my birthday and my sister who was meant to come over the next day never showed up and I haven't heard from her since. So that was a bit of a failure. At our work place we always bring in food for our birthdays it can get quite extravagant, cakes, sausage rolls, doughnuts, crisps and other snacks ^^ In positive news I think I've found some exercise classes I'm interested in I've found a gym that do lessons for £5 for non member (still unsure if I want to take the plunge for a full membership). I'm interested in possible Zumba, spin or pilates classes. Slightly nervous I'll make a fool of myself as I'm such a beginner but hopefully they'll take that into consideration. Of course I still need to build up the courage to actually email the gym and book the classes...

Having one's birthday at your work must be quite tiring. I don't like "extravagant". (too much effort and attention.) I hope you find some courage to book the classes. Exercising is definitely a good thing to do. I probably should start exercising too. I'm impressed you are considering zumba. Just thinking of it, of the people there must be, I just shy away. Now just sit down and write the email. Good luck!

So finally got around to emailing about the exercise classes. Tried to sound casual just in case they say no. Nervously awaiting a reply!
Lots of work stress including me gouging out a small part of my finger. The lady who looked after it was really nice but it was really embarrassing and now there needs to be risk assessments and ugh
blah blah blah
I did have my contract extended but I kind of wish I didn't and the whole things a big mess I don't want to get into ugh

damn exercise why you got to be so complicated. I'm guessing they have a lot of demand for the classes. I just wanted something simple I could just turn up to. Might have to start looking at some other places. I know there are loads of places around but this one was really convenient to get to and had free parking.

So I've had a fairly positive weekend I've done a few things I've been meaning to do for a while.
I walked into town on Saturday. It's about a 25 minute walk and I'd like to do it more often to save money and get a bit more exercise.
Speaking of exercises I've totally failed with the Zumba class I don't want to just turn to the class so I emailed beforehand and they just haven't got back to me *sigh*
Because of that I am trying to come up with a home exercise routine. I have a DVD I was using during the summer that I'm getting back to but wow it hurts! I do that for 25 minutes then I'm going to sit ups and finally some weights. I'm going to try and continue.
Earlier today I did some driving which was nice to get me out the house. I went and picked my mum up which I should do more. Both because it's a nice thing to do and helps my confidence with driving.
One thing to look forward to is I have Friday, and then the Momday, off so short week and long weekend! I really need the break and I have a hairdressers appointment on the Friday ^^

Well day 2 of exercise went well I haven't given up yet
Annoyingly my short week isn't happening as I now need to be in on Friday. Which means I also have to ring back the hairdressers and change my appointment. Still have the Monday though and a lot of time off at Easter to look forward to.

What's going on? They cancelled Monday too? haha no luckily I still have Monday off I just failed yesterday with exercising and felt really down. Today I feel so much better I really shouldn't let things get to me. I had a productive day at work, rearranged my hairdressers appointment and has a successful exercise session. I am really looking forward to the long weekend though
