I've done quite a lot of crazy/stupid or worse things of some kinds before, but why thursday in particular? why not? lol for me it's because my memory is so blooming bad any crazy thing I've done I really cannot recall What day it was on LOL sorry had to say that - jk, SP:). I'll have to give it some more thought, but for me it would have to be "any day" not especially Thursday hahaha;).

Facebook though I don't use it much. Also Last.fm (limited occasional use), abandoned Myspace (what use nowadays?), rarely used Friends Reunited, Bebo (probably useless, site is currently closed for maintenance). No Twitter, Tumblr etc. Suppose if I create a Google account (hate how they now demand your phone number!) Google+ is required. Facebook is especially annoying because it's comment/login with system is spreading across the internet. It presumably tracks you with stupid ads too like others, obnoxiously wants to make people use their real names everywhere. Fortunately a do not track browser plugin will stop this though. I hate the phone number requirement also for the reason that I don't have a cell phone number but just a home phone (I do have a cellphone but I don't have it hooked up as a telephone as I just use it to take pictures).

I know the thread is old, but anyway - sites I use: Facebook - both my real name and a fake name<I just did that to test some things that I didn't understand lol. I'm continually or automatically logged into Facebook with my real name. I'm on Twitter, but I don't go on much - sometimes I send a "tweet" to the Dr. Phil show (just occasionally). I have a Gmail account, but that's just because of you tube. I know about Google Plus, but I don't use it.
Other sites I use are paypal for online shopping and other things I pay out, although I don't use it to pay my phone/cable/internet "bundle": I do that via online banking.
I have three email addresses which I use from time to time. Have older ones that I cannot get into anymore since I've not logged into them for several years lol.
I think that's it. If not, I might have to edit or something lol.

My mum used to sing something with "credo in pneuman deo" or something like that. Scuse my bad spelling of it - I'm just going by what I heard her say (years ago). Does anyone know what that means. I tried googling different variations of the spelling. It's likely "credo in unum Deum" which means "I believe in one God." Thanks. When you're listening to someone say it (as with hearing my mum singing it), as opposed to reading it, it's difficult to spell it lol.

Personally I enjoy gardening and other plant based things. Look up "Air plants". These species of plants are very interesting and are not required to be planted in soil. They pull moisture from the air in high humidity areas but need to be soaked in water for a few hours every week in drier areas or when being kept as a house plant. Their roots only act as anchors to keep them attached to whatever they happen to be growing on. They look amazing and can be used as decoration or interesting conversational pieces. My pinterest account has lots of pictures of them as well as care guides. (or if you think im being an attention whore heres a random image I googled) www.pinkog.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/iona-air-plants-from-twisted-acres_.jpg I tried setting up an aquaponics system to practice being self sustainable. Sadly I live in a 5a zone where we experience lots of snow and that hobby becomes expensive when youre trying to keep the plants and the fish warm. It wasnt as successful as I had hoped, but I learned a lot in the process They look very nice. I'm into plants too - but I'm not very good at it. The 2 geraniums I have here were given to me by my best friend Marion in the same building I live in. One blooms pink flowers and the other a deeper pink almost like a rose colour. The pink one still has a couple flowers on it, the darker pink to red one stopped blossoming for the year. They both have a lot of leaves on them. I water them about every three days thereabouts. I'm still very much a beginner when it comes to keeping or having houseplants.

lately, besides the things you already mentioned...drawing, painting, writing poetry, singing, dancing, hiking and driving to places of natural beauty. Since when were singing and dancing considered shy-friendly hobbies? At first glance, it would seem as if singing and/or dancing are more extroverted activities. Perhaps not necessarily: I, myself am very introverted (shy) and I love to just dance around the apartment, and I love to sing:). I prefer to do both alone lol. I don't get out much anymore except for an occasional walk to see some cats, and of course to the grocery store to buy food.

I do love both, but at this stage in my life I think it's definitely cats. They can be very independent, yet attentive and loving (in a 'ah, here is my slave...feed me now' sort of way). lol I feel the same way. I do like the both - my older posts notwithstanding hahaha. We had a big German Shepherd/Golden Lab at home - so I grew up with that dog in the house and for all the teasing I did when I was at my scampiest (age 12/13), he never once bit me! Our first pet was a cat, Tinkerbell, and then we got Penny, the aforementioned mix, a year later. The first thing that happened when we got home with him as a little pup was that Tinkerbell chased him down the basement and pretty near scratched his eyes out. But after he got bigger, he put her in her place - lol. Right now, where I live (7th floor) dogs are not allowed up here although they're allowed on lower floors. I can have a cat, if I want. If I was living in my own home, in the country, had my own car, and so forth (a pipe dream for me since I do not drive), I would have a dog and a couple of cats:). Oops - I should have realized I answered this before. But I DID want to reply to Slinky though:).

It's been quite a long time since I did that test, Matthew, but I have a bit of a photographic memory and was able to recognize ISFJ as my personality type.

I thought I had put a post on this, but I guess I hadn't.
At my age, I still never learned to drive. When I was 12 or 13, my parents and I were visiting one of their mutual friends. Her grandson, Harvey, about a year younger than I, was actually driving a motor vehicle around the yard. My dad, having a few drinks, got me behind the wheel of (Dad's) car and tried to teach me to drive. I made a mistake, being very nervous, and hit the gas instead of the brake, and plowed into this lady's home. Dad got upset and mad at me, and I ran into the house crying. (We didn't get into trouble with the lady after the whole story was related). Since then, I've been afraid to try to learn. I did have the driver's manual when I was 15 or 16, but didn't bother studying it since I didn't think I'd ever be able to get behind the wheel. When my ex and I were together, he did try to teach me. He let me get behind the wheel and just drive straight on the highway (no turns or any other stuff), then when we got not too far away from an intersection or something, then we changed places. He tried to teach me more than that, but I was just too nervous and kept making mistakes, so after that I never tried again. I still would like to drive, very much so, but my fear is just too great, unfortunately:(.

I like Uptown Girl and Honesty from Billy Joel. When i had a crush on a beautiful rich girl, i probably thought of singing or humming to the song Uptown Girl. =P That's nice, Outcast. I hope you get your chance to sing one of Billy Joel's (or another artist's) song to someone special:). I'm familiar with the Green Day song also!

I remember all of those, ShyBorg:). "You May Be Right" I find sort of humourous:); and the last two were popular when I was in high school. We had a morning reading class (read for 15 minutes any novel we had) and one of the kids in my class asked the teacher for permission to play music off the radio (on cassette) and "My Life" was one of the tunes she had on her tape recorder so of course I remember it well as well as "Only the Good Die Young".

Been reading Jane Austen's Emma lately. Got it at one of those neighbour free book thingys (outdoor cabinet outside a person's home that houses books people can take for free. There are quite a few of these in the city I live).
Anyway, just started the book a week or so ago, haven't really read a lot in it. But was reading about her father and how he's described; and I exclaimed "Why he's just like me!" lol.
I'll give you an excerpt:
page 5 - (like I said, I haven't read very far lol): "...His spirits required support. He was a nervous man, easily depressed; fond of everybody that he was used to, and hating to part with them; hating change of every kind."
^most definitely sounds like my personality. That is me in a nutshell.

Listening to Billy Joel's stuff lately on CD. I'll put a couple examples here of the ones I like the most: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJWM5FmZyqU <a live version, though an older billy joel concert. www.youtube.com/watch?v=NaHeo-fmFps <w/lyrics www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuFScoO4tb0 <the above live These 2 are from the album "The Stranger" (late 70s). I like other songs by him also, most notably "Tell Her About It" (1983) - that especially meant alot to me as I was dating a guy at the time who was about 7 years older than myself and it was as if the song were about me. Of course the really good songs probably have that affect on most people anyway:).

Zoe I can most definitely relate. I have gone through similar so many times in my life. So sorry this happened to you.
Here's a big *((((((((HUG))))))).
If you were around where I live, I'd have you over for a cup of tea (or desired beverage of your choice) and you could talk it out and I would be a listening ear.
You take care, Zoe.

Well Matthew - and welcome to the forum, by the way. You've got quite a dilemma there. I don't usually come in and give advice because most of the time I seem to misunderstand what the problem is and this time probably will be the same.
That said, I have to say (just my own opinion though of course), I don't think you should let your friends dictate to you who you should talk to and I appreciate and agree with what you said in that regard. This other girl "Brenda" doesn't seem like she's on the up and up based on what I've read from your post. Of course I could be wrong. Like I said, I am not very good at giving advice on these things. I'm sure there will be others in here that can advise you better than myself. I hope you will have a chance to talk to her and see if anything happens - even friendship-wise. I appreciate that you don't want to risk losing your other friends - the ones that tell you not to talk to her. I just hope they're not saying that out of some jealous motive (or similar) but actually do have your best interest at heart. I really wish I could be of more help, sorry. From what I've read from your post Alex seems like a cool person. Again, I don't think you should have to choose between your friends and making another friend. Even if she doesn't end up being a girlfriend, it's always nice to have a friend to talk to. And to me it just doesn't seem right that friends should cut their friendship with you just because you talk to someone different (another person).
P.S. Don't worry about the parentheses - I do that also. You should see my facebook entries lol.
Apologies to you if I've misunderstood the content in your post (it seems to be a problem with me, that's why I say that).
