Why is this discussion still happening. I said at the begininng it should have been taken to PM. Still it's entertaining, isn't it? If not - fuck you. This is a public forum. That's a little harsh. It is a public forum, but to me it seems stupid that every thread about finding a girlfriend/boyfriend is taken over by arguments. It kind of is stifling real discussions about the subject that might actually help people.

I think it is a little silly to delete your account over an argument.
I do hope you come back.
I know you say how tolerant and open minded you are but really your thinking seems quite rigid because you were trying to get isdima to change his opinion. You may not like his opinion but still he has the right to think his way.

It is a public forum, but to me it seems stupid that every thread about finding a girlfriend/boyfriend is taken over by arguments. It kind of is stifling real discussions about the subject that might actually help people. But you know what? It's not "stupid" to the people involved. What would be nice is if there were a way for a mod to take heated arguments to a new thread (possibly in "Debates") like they do on other forums, so that everyone gets what they want. People have been talking about how to win the girl since girls were first invented, and by the time arguments start on these threads, the question has usually been answered in about as much depth as it's ever likely to be. If not, the arguments usually last a few days, and then afterward you can go back to talking about whatever you want. The truth is, though, that most threads, especially relationship ones, tend to peter out and fade away pretty quickly when they don't catch fire. I think Anna's response was indeed harsh, but LSDima was picking at her again, and it's pretty clear she was already wound up from that. I doubt she really meant what she said, and I wish she'd come back so all this could be cleared up. I know you say how tolerant and open minded you are but really your thinking seems quite rigid because you were trying to get isdima to change his opinion. You may not like his opinion but still he has the right to think his way. Well, having an opinion and challenging other people doesn't make a person closed-minded. And while everyone has a right to hold an opinion, other people also have a right to challenge that opinion--especially when that opinion is in regard to them personally. (Did I use the word "opinion" enough in this post yet? ) That's just something I personally believe very strongly.

1. Swearing at moderators is not acceptable behaviour.
2. Petty arguing like this degrades the quality of the forum and creates a poor community atmosphere, and its now got to a point where it shouldn't be continually tolerated by staff or members.
Therefore, thread locked for now.
