Hi everyone, I would like to know everyones favorite movie? My favorite movie is "Dazed And Confused" I like everything about that movie, nonstop action. I like it because nobody in the movie is shy, or boring + it has all good music. I wish I could be like the people in the movie! Here is some info on the movie. www.dazed-and-confused.net/I hope to hear from everyone here, this seems like a great site! Thanks By

Hello Gary, welcome to SHY United. The people on these boards are fantastic. My favourite film? I love comedies and I think my favourite was the very first Naked Gun.

I love comedies too, Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail is my favourite, a cult classic! They don't make 'em like that anymore.....

A Clockwork Orange. Very messed up movie. It's got lots of really beautiful dichotomies. It's pretty violent, but not in the sense that lots of people are killed, or anything. More in the sense that the movie does a good job of making you "feel" the violence.

Harold and Maude, Dancer in the Dark, Straw Dogs, Dreamlife of Angels, Trees Lounge, Buffalo '66 (at one time), Harry and Tonto, Sleepwalk, American Buffalo, Breaking the Waves, Sweet and Lowdown, Parting Glances, Blood Simple, Amelie, City of Lost Children, Modern Times (Chaplin), anything involving Audrey Hepburn, Lenny, La Dolce Vita (and it is sweet!), The Straight Story (breathtaking!), Stranger than Paradise and Mystery Train, the portions I've seen of the original version of the Blue Angel, Ciao! Professore, Three Seasons, Not One Less, Kolya, Kikujiro blah blah blah

I am a huge sci-fi fan. My absolute favorites are The Matrix 1 and 2. I can't wait 'til the third comes out this Wednesday!

I'm a big SF fan, but movies usually disappoint me. I liked the first Matrix a lot, but the second one's plot seemed kind of kludged together. And that street fight scene took WAY too long--I was really bored of it by the end.

"The Virgin Sucides" had a lasting effect on me, so beautifully construced yet so messed up, so much so i read the book (jeffery Eugenides) which i recommend to anyone who likes black comedy.
Ive heard Dazed and Confused is good, what about THIRTEEN? anyone seen it yet, i really want to.
Pirates of the Carribiean was the best film of the Summer and Id like to Shoot Harry Potter....

Girl, Interrupted. Kind of depressing, but I could relate to it.

I loved that movie. I didn't know it was popular enough for hardly anyone else to have seen it.

I loved that movie. I didn't know it was popular enough for hardly anyone else to have seen it. I know many people that have seen it, and not always at my prompting!

I love anything with Julia Roberts in it. The Godfather movies are good too.
